Sorry, we wanted to like this casual tapas restaurant with the tacky interior, but couldn't. The food was poor to average with the garlic shrimp being okay. The paella wasn't awful, but it wasn't good. Lastly, the cleanliness of the kitchen left me uneasy.

I was walking around Barcelona with my sister and we came across this bar by accident. It's lovely,we had a few beers and the owner came to chat with us. He was a lovely man,very interested and obviously passionate about his business. He offered us a desert which was gorgeous! All the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, beautiful presentation not expensive. There is a small jungle themed bar inside which is wonderful, the owner made the whole thing himself. There is also an outside area too.I would highly recommend this place for food or just a drink.

Wasnât expecting a lot considering based on my experience with beach shack eateries but didnât even get a chance to try. Most likely a combination of the fact that Iâm a minority, female and traveling solo but I was not allowed to sit at one of the beach facing tables although there were 5 empty tables, the bar tender told me I could sit wherever I would like and I specifically mentioned I intended to order food and drinks. With such poor service even before I looked at the menu, I didnât bother patron. Went to a more friendly and accommodating restaurant nearby.We are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our staff, what we can assure you is that the fact that you were a woman had nothing to do, we are a group committed to respecting and supporting women, especially those who travel alone. We had a drink here and it turned out to be such a pleasant experience. The place makes really good cocktails using lab equipment and their own infusions displayed all over the bar. (Our suggestion was that the place should be named The Lab instead of The Box.) Most of all, the bartenders were super nice, very friendly and engaging, not to mention they really know their stuff. This bar has the best service and has great staff working there, the service is 110% and most importantly Andrea, the manager and Emi, a bar tender made my experience amazing and both times I've been back they make me feel more than welcome. Went here a fair few times on our trip to Barcelona. Great food and drink plus the staff are really friendly. Itâs also right on the beach which was a highlight to me. Only downside you can spend a whole day here whilst burning in the sun - Iâll leave you to decide if itâs a good thing or bad thing haha!Thank you for you kind opinion. The food and drinks here were amazing. It was our first meal upon arrival from the US, so we weren't sure what to expect. Needless to say, they set the bar VERY high!! Everything we ordered was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The staff was so nice and we appreciated their kindness!

Located in the Gothic District of Barcelona, this small restaurant/bar is a real gem. Kenny, the lead bartender and apparent manager, is a delightfully engaging young man from Venezuela who has put together an incredibly diverse & imaginative menu of cocktails ... and based on a sample of three each by my wife and I, all excellent (extensive use of exotic spices, fine rums, tequilas and gins, etc.). The description of the food in other reviews did not, to me, give it sufficiently high marks. We thought the mixed seafood ceviche was among the best we have ever tasted, unusual in its use of a sweet-spicy, tomato-based broth. The pulled pork empanada and pulled chicken pastry (have forgotten its Caribbean name) were also excellent. Service was very friendly and helpful.
