Heard it was good here , food very sparse for the price, rubbish roast , however lovely service They ran out of Yorkshire puddings, really ... how difficult is it to make one , particularly if you are a chef Distinct lack of stickiness in the sticky toffee pudding All too average Good price wine Need some help sorting your dinners out ?

A warm and welcoming family-run pub. Award winning ales, fine wines and great coffee. Home cooked food available seven days a week, prepared to order by our dedicated kitchen team. Traditional 'snug' bars, a fabulously refurbished 'Garden Room' and a char
Sunday roast celebration for 5 people. Based on Trip Advisor's excellent reviews this was hugely disappointing. Limited starter menu, dreadful selection of 5 deserts and an average roast. Yorkshire puddings were average and small - just as well had ordered extras. Advertise 'unlimited gravy' but bring in tiny jugs - when asked if could simply bring a large jug for the table I was advised they don't have any large jugs! Felt sorry for the waitress who was running around with jugs of gravy as a result. Best Sunday Roast in Surrey? - not a chance. Eaten better roasts at a host of other pubs before this.Thank you for your review, really disappointing to hear you didn't enjoy. Would you be able to email me at the pub s I could get some more details? [email protected],Dorian

The Kingswood Arms pub and restaurant is situated in the quiet village of Kingswood in the Surrey Hills, offering a fine selection of real ales, wines, high quality service and excellent restaurant dining. Enjoy our stunning garden, old style bar, conserv
might as well have knocked the old one down - this is a different place completely. Full of noisy, shouty, in your face ...ahem ...â clientele â including the bar staff. Relaxing and traditional as it once was, now it is the opposite as these people are loud, mannerless and incapable of behaving like decent human beings, respecting others around them. What a shame.. i so miss the Kingswood Arms (for this is not that ). I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your visit to the kingswood arms. please do not hesitate to get in touch on 01737354053 or email [email protected] so we can discuss this matter further as I would love to have more information. thank youDave

The Jolly Coopers is a family owned free house serving a range of cask conditioned craft ales, fine wines and a contemporary pub menu devised by our chef, which features high quality seasonally available ingredients.

The Woolpack is a traditional English pub located in the charming village of Banstead in Surrey. We offer everything from great food (cooked all day) and cold beers to live music, quiz nights, beer festivals and much more. We have a wonderful selection of
Four of us met here at 7.30 for dinner, which was good & the best chips I've had for a long while! Sat out in the garden which was very pleasant but after we'd eaten decided to move inside to more comfy seating. As it was a very hot evening we went to sit at a table by the door & were told by a lady we couldn't as that area was closed off, so had to sit in the bar which was empty, very warm & had no atmosphere.Would have liked to have tried the deserts (after being given the board to choose from by the lovely bar staff) however we were then informed by same lady just as we were looking, that the kitchens had closed & were no longer serving. This was at 8.50PM. We only wanted ice creams/sorbets, nothing cooked & had noted food was served until 9PM but she wouldn't budge. This marred our evening a bit, so paid our bill, finished our drinks (we were going to order another bottle of wine with puds but now didn't) & left. Don't think we'll be back as feel we'll have 'to rush' our meal next time!

A real local favourite situated just a minutes walk from Carshalton Ponds. The Sun offers something for everyone - acclaimed food a fantastic wine list and beautiful walled garden with bar and wood fired oven.
This pub is friendly and welcoming with a brilliant gin selection and really good menu. Food is good quality and tasty and much better than standard pub grub. Itâs reasonably priced too. They do a veggie menu on Mondays which is a bit disappointing if youâre a carnivore!

Went in for a meal bar area most tables full and 3 people waiting at the bar. One person there only. Asked waitress if any room in Restaurant and she checked and had a table available. Restaurant not that full but large table looking at menus. Only two other tables full. After a while she had not taken the order of the other table or given us menus. Politely asked if she was on her own to which she confirmed and thanked her but said we had a lunch hour and felt service would be slow. As proceeded out heard that the person at the bar Sam was a deputy manager. Explained the position and asked him if there was any staff. He replied was waiting for them and canât you see how hard Iâm working youâre just have to be patient in a rude manner.Service has no priority here it appears and this deputy manager cannot be doing his job as canât even staff the place or be civil.

This is a local pub that we had never previously visited but did so as we had heard good reports from friends. We arrived for an early evening booking but the car park was almost full. We witnessed a number of people parking there yet only to walk their dogs nearby! The pub was busy (at 6.15) and we had to wait to be seated. The place was busy throughout and the waiting staff did their best to give good service but evidently not a place to go if you are in a hurry. By local standards the food was expensive. The cod and chips at around £14 is £2 more expensive than a number of other pubs within 2 miles. Worse than that was the fact that the size of the cod was probably 39% smaller than those others! Overall the experience was average given that we were not seated in a dedicated restaurant but amongst others who were there only for a drink. For dessert my daughter (aged 30) ordered the brownie which was tiny when it arrived. We didn't complain as portions of the main course were also small but importAntly the waiter made no comment when it was delivered to the table. When the bill arrived the brownie was described as a "child portion" and we were not charged the full extortionate price! Clearly the kitchen and the waiter were aware but they failed to communicate to us...... I can only imagine this was the last half portion they had and they would rather have sold it than thrown it away? Because of this poor customer service and overpriced menu we will not be rushing back

We had not visited The Grumpy Mole for a few years as had had a couple of disappointing meals. However, thought we would give it a chance and were very pleasantly surprised!Excellent service from our waitress and a very good menu. Both our meals were excellent....especially the steak and kidney pudding!!Lovely setting and easy parking. Will certainly return again.
