Weâve eaten at this restaurant several times. Itâs inside or outside dining, very casual, but consistently good quality & service. We like the patio. If itâs cold outside, theyâll turn on the heaters. Our daughter wanted to go again, and their menu had been updated since the last time. All items selected were wonderful - salmon, turkey burger, salad, roasted cauliflower, deviled eggs starter. One thing we miss is a menu item from long ago - roasted chicken & mashed potatoes.

but got stomach aches pretty quickly. It was 9pm and food was served quickly and not very hot temperature-wise. Loud street people in the alley near the open windows... didn't feel safe.

My wife, 10year old granddaughter and I had dinner at Summer House. The dining area is full of charm and good cheer. Drinks are great. The Margarita Ultima is the ultimate. Service was friendly and efficient. I had a burger to die for, perfectly prepared and huge.Could barely finish it. My wife had the fish tacos, which she thoroughly enjoyed. My granddaughter was content with her chicken fingers. A very pleasant evening in a very pleasant restaurant. Try it, you will like it.

Classic influences. Contemporary cuisine. Oak Grill is a true California original. This exciting dining destination appeals to the appetite and the aesthetic with an atmosphere of subtle and inviting elegance that extends from the light-filled interiors t
Located directly across the street from Newport Beachâs Fashion Island (in the Fashion Island Hotel) the Oak Grill has the most serene and tranquil patio for lunch/dinner. Met girlfriends last Saturday afternoon for lunch and was happily surprised that I did not have to fight the traffic inside the mall. The jewel in our afternoon crown was feasting on Bloody Maryâs, Ruben and Beef Dip Sandwiches, Tuna Salad Nicoise, and the most AMAZING Butter Cake! From the hostess to the waitstaff everything was perfect. Canât wait to come back!

We had diner here on a Saturday night. Got right in as there were only 2 of us. Service was good and friendly. Place was very loud which was ok as people were having a good time. We were disappointed in the food. Bacon wrapped scallops had almost no flavor. Overall meal was just average.

Regardless of what day you walk past this restaurant during the lunch hour, there are always people outside anxious to get a table. I have enjoyed everything that I have ever had here, but my go-to has always been the Asian Chicken & Noodle Salad. My wife likes the Meiterranean Seared Tuna Salad and my buddy insists they have some of the best Cheeseburgers around---if you like Veggie Burgers, they do a good job on those too. The Deviled Eggs are our favorite side and the Pot de Crème dessert is worth saving room for. The servers are very pleasant and prompt and the place always has an upbeat feel. They have outdoor seating, which can be wonderful for most of the year in Newport Beach. This is quality American style food served well.

Our friends took us to this restaurant that was very busy. The best thing about this restaurant was the appetizer that was a giant pretzel. We were just eating our pretzel and they tried to serve us our entreeâs. We refused thee entrees at this time. The eventually brought them back. Our server kept disappearing and we were disappointed in the whole experience. We did not return to this restaurant.

Tommy Bahama Island Grille is conveniently located in Corona del Mar Plaza, minutes from Fashion Island, John Wayne Airport, and of course, the beach! The upscale alternative to our Laguna Beach location features a fresh seafood, seasonal produce, and inn
Our family have been to many Tommy Bahama locations world-wide and truly enjoy the relaxing experience when eating there. Our experience at the Newport Beach location left a bad taste in our mouths. From the manager to the bus boy, terrible service all around. The only exception was a waitress named, Janelle. She was the only reason we decided to stick around and order. All other employees were rude and not friendly at all. Our experience was not relaxing and far from the customary Tommy Bahama experiences from the past. We will continue to dine with Tommy Bahama, but NEVER again at the Newport Beach location. I sure hope that Tommy Bahama corporate make a surprise visit to this location. Be sure to send someone that is non-white to do the investigation to get the real truth. It is definite that this location has a "whites only" unwritten policy and rudeness toward anyone that is non-white.

Still wonderful ... BUT:* GONE is that incredible Reuben Sandwich (I know it is primarily a seafood restaurant but if you ever had that Reuben you might say otherwise),* GONE is the Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay (the very hard-to-find Russian River version) that was sooooo exceptionally great at any price, and* GONE is that wonderful seating area that was right in front of the bar ... the seating area with THE most commanding view of the Newport Harbor of any restaurant there, and* GONE is "John", their exceptionally personable and concerned manager (he left for the right reason: retirement ... but as nice as their management is, we still miss him). "Jaime", a server assistant who has been there for over 30 years, is still doing everything he can to make your dining experience good. The "bar menu" is wonderful and all of the items on it are as dependable as they are delicious. But ask for the Crab Cake to be cooked maybe 30 seconds longer so as to enjoy it with a bit more "crisp" finish. It may look a little burned, but it is in looks only ... not the exceptional flavor. And Newport Landing makes them fresh ... they do not buy them from a supplier.Given the fact that they no longer serve Sonoma Cutrer, we bring our own wine. But I think a $15 corkage fee is exorbitant considering there's no effort in opening a screw-top bottle and they do not provide any "wine management" in its serving. And for those of you who might say "screw top wine and you are complaining about a corkage fee" I say do the math. Ten seconds to open and serve a glass is one heck of an hourly rate, let alone service surcharge. I know they are trying to make up for their lost profit on the wine but geeeeez.Newport Landing is still our go-to restaurant in Newport Beach. But gone are some of the things that made it really really exceptional.

Nice views, great service and incredible awesome fish tacos. I tried the salmon taco, Mahi taco, and the lobster one... I would never say that out of Mexico I would enjoy tacos, but fish quality was so good.Things to improve, the âtortillasâ should be better (classical corn ones)
