Bakar (Italian: Buccari, Hungarian: Szádrév) is a town in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in western Croatia. The population of the town was 8,279 according to the 2011 Croatian census, including 1,473 in the titular settlement. Ninety percent of the population declared themselves Croats by ethnicity. The largest ethnic minority are the Serbs with 2.91% of the population. The old part of Bakar is situated on a hill overlooking the Bay of Bakar. "Bakar" is the Croatian word for copper.

It's small and cozy but so lovely! The waiter was nice. My bf and I ordered hot chocolate and it was one of the best I ever had. The ambient is just something to visit and you have a lovely view of Rijeka if you sit outside.

Perfect little place in the center of Rijeka where you can enjoy the company of your friends or a good book! Excellent tea and coffee + cookies, and Hirter beer + peanuts. Dnevni boravak is croatian for "living room" and we mean it ;)

Love the interior... it's very different than the other cafes in the town.. we usually come here during our office lunch break.. they have a great hot chocolate with many different tastes! It's delicious!! The only downside is since it's small and crowded place, vent isn't great, so most of the time there is an unpleasant cigarettes' odor .. even in a small "non smoking" part.. other than that - highly recommended!

I came here with friends for an evening meal and after we sat down we were asked to move as that table was reserved, we then picked another table and were again asked to move as that was also "reserved". There was no indication of this but we moved a third time without complaint to a dark table in the corner where we could hardly see. After 5 minutes there we saw a group leave from a table outside and so we swapped to that, clearly unreserved table. And for a fourth time we were told that it was reserved and if we wanted to eat there we were only permitted to sit at the darkened corner table. It was clear that we were not welcome there but if there was a reason we should have been told, not simply lied to multiple times.

I visited this place with my friends to relax from the trip and driving all day. We ordered coffee, which somehow tasted salty, and some juice. At first it seemed as a pleasant atmosphere, but boy, were we wrong! The waiter (hairless one, with glasses, I think the shift manager) started obnoxiously yelling at some guests for parking, while they were leaving. Not a minute after, he continued to angrily walk from table to table asking us, the guests, if the red jeep parked is ours. Not only did he interrupt our conversation, he also made the overall experience very unpleasant, alongside the coffee. The cherry on top was definitely when I tried to pay with credit card and he yelled at me that we should have told him that before ordering. It was my breaking point and while I continued to explain him that I am not responsible for notifiying him about my preffered payment method in advance, but it's rather his job to ask about it, he argued with me, loudly and furiously. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place, since it clearly doesn't value its guests. Be clever, put your money and time somewhere where you'll actually enjoy being. This is my first and last time here.

Just a simple friendly night out at this place, we never visited before but we heard great reviews. The bar looks very cozy and friendly, the staff was very polite (redheaded waiter especially) and she reccomended us some monthly specials. Food was great, worth the price.

the food is excelent unlike the service... i ordered a cheesburger with no tomato...and some other stuff that they forgot and they forgot the no tomato thing so i got a cheesburger with tomato...i wanted the check and they said i git to wait for the food i ordered... the place is cool the fiod is awsome but i hate the waiters cause there must be some waiters that can handle a table of 3 ...

Great place in the middle of centre Rijeka. I loved atmosphere, cozy and small street made as a terrace of restaurant. Very friendly and helpfull staff and delicious food!! Pizza was great!! weâll definitely come back.

We liked the interior design, there's a brewery you can see from inside, toilets are very nice and clean, there's a big stage for bands, beer is good, but food is average. We didn't get menu to see what we would like to eat. We ordered burgers and bun seems to hard or too stiff, bacon seems roasted too much, chips is bad and there's no other potato, like fries or something similar, also there's only ketchup for dip, maybe there's more dips but we didn't have menu to see.
