Known for our casual atmosphere and outstanding food, delivered with exceptional service, the Bone Island Grillhouse strives to make every guest's experience a memorable one. Our mission is to be the preferred restaurant to both our guests and team member
Our waitress was THE BEST!!! She made the experience a wonderful one! The food here is always terrific and thank goodness, the wait is never a problem. I would recommend everything, especially the vegetable plate. Itâs a great deal and DELICIOUS! The salads are wonderful. The shrimp appetizer is perfect. This will be a frequent stop for our family. Service is phenomenal. This place features a warm, comforting and rustic environment with a wide range of tap beers and alcohol selections. The menu is fun however, limited for dietary restricted people. I gave this place a 4 only because it advertises itself to be an English inspired pub or establishment. There is only one item truly English inspired and that is the fish and chips which is excellent. Itâs clean, friendly and fun! I highly recommend. However, if youâre craving a menu truly driven by English inspired cuisine, you will be sadly disappointed. This would be better classed as an American bar with a fun and interesting decor and drink selection.

We were in Athens shopping and stopped in here as a recommendation from a friend. The deep fried bacon brussel sprouts were quite the change from the normal stove top, but quite tasty. The takedown tacos with tuna were exceptional as was the burger and mcrib. Décor is simple with light coming from a bulb in a mason jar. An extensive beverage list and many choices on the menu make for a good dining experience.

Ate here twice in one week. Got the Hawaiian chicken (itâs named something else in menu), and it is so good with baked potato and sweet tea.....yummy. You must order a basket of their honey/butter croissants.Highly recommend trying this place if your in the Athens area. Menu has a large variety for everyone.

We went here for dinner on a Thursday night and were seated right away. We both ordered beers from their drink menu and were happy with the service and selection. We ordered burgers and chicken sandwich and both were served with just a normal wait time. Both entrees were very good and we would definitely go here again for dinner. The environment is casual and relaxed and the service was good. I would recommend.

The Seabear was on the âmust visitâ list for Athens, great atmosphere and staff. The staff was attentive, friendly, and worked with speed and efficiency. We had water delivered as we were sitting, the staff made suggestions that further enhanced the experience. We started with the oysters which were excellent. I had the fish and chips and enjoyed very much. The low country boil is also high recommend (was a special of the day). Great experience.

We attempted to get a table inside for four. We were told 10 minutes and at 22 minutes noticed that two groups of three were seated before us (in areas of four seats). We approached the hostess who said she forgot basically and it would be okay to seat outside (it was beginning to rain), and it would be another 10-25 minutes. We noticed two tables open on the right of door and asked if they could be put together for us to be seated, the hostess said no. We left and went across to Tedâs which is always excellent customer service. This would have been our second attempt to eat here and second time disappointed. Even after calling and speaking with person in charge today (Leora/Lenora-was hard to hear her name), who was very nice. She stated it wouldnât happen again but sadly I and my party will not make a third attempt.

First impression is always lasting! And itâs not good. One hour wait but lots of empty tables?? One bartender who basically ignores you if you at the end of bar. Not impressed. Open for lunch Monday - Saturday and dinner daily; our bar also remains open for coffee and tapas during the day 2:30 - 5pm. The idea behind The National is simple: to provide a casual neighborhood gathering spot reminiscent of the bars and cafés weâve en
We recently met friends for dinner at The National. First, could hardly find the place as the signage is extremely small for a restaurant. Our group of seven took up nearly a quarter of the small dining room. The menu is small, about 6 choices for each of the tapas, appetizer and entree categories. Our food was tasty but portions are small. If you are looking for different, this would be the place. Not so much for intimate conversation as it is loud. Our apologies for the difficulty in finding our restaurant! Unfortunately, signage size was limited in the renovation of our historic Recap Plant building. If you keep your eyes open for the Ciné, the arthouse cinema that shares our building, and our signature neon blue lights, you can't miss us!
