Having been forced to close by a kitchen fire we couldnt wait to return to this 'jewel in the crown' of restaurants in Wolverhampton. As always we were not disappointed ! Outstandingly good food, efficient, courteous and helpful service together with great atmosphere and surroundings what else can you ask from a top class restaurant. A credit to the owners, an asset to the City and the region.

I have been coming here for years. Friends come here from Stourport just for the curry (we like to think they see us too!). Service is as friendly as you can get and the food is great, whether take out or dining in - keep it up!

Visited the Jewel last week and was absolutely amazed by the food and the service. Best decision I made on the dish. House special different to normal curry but best decision. What can I say the staff is extremely accommodating something I wanted wasnât on the menu and they went out their way to provide it. Very Friendly people. I wanted chilli chips which weren't on the menu and they have done it exactly how I wanted it.The food is amazing! I can not fault this establishment one little bit! will be there again!

Purple Flamez restaurant. Serving fine Bengal cuisine. Dine in and takeaways. Restaurant takes bookings and walk ins welcome.
Several people have recommended this restaurant to me so I finally gave it a try and was not disappointed in anyway. Everything was 5star, a truly enjoyable dining experience and one that I will be repeating many times

It was a good meal. Nice buffet selection. Hosts were friendly. Not many people there on a Friday night so atmosphere lacked a little. Made to feel very welcome.Would go again maybe

This is a fantastic restaurant with friendly, attentive staff and an array of wonderful dishes. For me, the best curry house in the local area and beyond, and I always judge other Asian cuisine against the quality I can expect every time I visit Penn Tandoori.

We tried this place again as the last couple of times was very poor. Saw the decent reviews on here and thought things had changed but how wrong was I.Food just average, nan bread still very oily and prices same as anywhere else that is much better quality. My son has become ill today (day after our visit) and just thought Iâd look at the âscores on the doorsâ - wish Iâd have done this before our visit!! They only have 1 score out of a possible 5. Seriously worry about things like this when one of us becomes ill. I will certainly never ever eat at this establishment again.Dear DoubblebeesWe are sorry to hear your son falling ill after visiting our establishment. At the curry lounge we are dedicated to provide good food and services,as we have for the past ten years.nintythree excellent and nineteen very good trip advisor reviews speak for itselfRegarding your son falling ill,we can assure you it wasnât the food.So much care is taken preparing it.food poisoning happens straight away not a day later as u have mentioned.Regarding the nan breads being oily,we donât use oil in our nans.only pure butter is used moderately.Regarding hygiene rating 1.Due to poor inspection we were given one star for missing paperwork nothing-else as it was our head chef night off.The council overided the one start rating as gave us three star.we were expecting a five star.Due to their scoring method they were unable to.In the next visit we are expecting a five star. With all due respect you have visited our establishment at two occasions.both occasions you have had bad experience which questions your sincerity,if itâs a genuine review. If you have any issues we would be more then happy to resolve the mater,as your reviews jeopardises our reputation which we have build with hard work and dedication for the pass ten years. We hope this will be the end off any misunderstanding you may had. Many thanks Curry lounge
