Exceptionally lovely restaurant inside, and the staff are very welcoming.Being vegetarian they we were willing to change dishes (Paneer) to caterer to our needs, the portion sizes are pretty decent too! Our first visit to The Lounge India although we had ordered takeaways previously and they were very good. I have to say the four of us were most impressed with the way in which we were greeted, the food was excellent and the prices reasonable. The menu is extensive, something for everyone. The choice of deserts wasnât good although that may be a cultural thing, perhaps the other courses are supposed to suffice.However the whole experience was very good and we shall definitely visit again.Hi Paul,Thank you so much for your review, and it was an absolute pleasure your table was fantastic really enjoyed meeting you all.We have updated the desserts to match our cousin, and am looking at the options in the new year.Thank you again, and look forward to welcoming you all again.

Some Indian food can be rather bland, maybe overpowered by spices in other cases. This does not apply to Rasoi - very tasty and flavoursome food. I can also confirm the rave reviews of the handi mutton (and, in our case, the prawn balti).Service was also pretty good, although it was a tad quiet for a Saturday night.All in all, very much recommended

My family and I have been going to this restaurant every Saturday for over 2 years,We pre-book as from midweek on wards it gets very busy,Also after 7pm at weekends it fills up quickly and if party's are in it can get a bit loud as people try talk over 1 another.(The only down side)Food always excellent hot and very tasty staff are friendly and will recommend meals to try out if unsure.If your out and fancy an curry,eat in or take away,I would highly recommend this restaurant.times we bump into many returning customers so I need to say no more!10/10Terry Julie and JoeTerry Julie and Joe, you guys are apart of our furniture. Had the Sunday buffet. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was pretty good. The choice of food was as good as any other buffet I have had over the years. However I rarely saw the trays being refilled with fresh food. Therefore the fried dishes became soggy(bhajis and pakoras) and the vegetable dishes a bit mushy. The metal trays were not heated from underneath so without fresh top ups most of the food was barely warm. If they sort out these problems it would be excellent as the food was very tasty. This was probably why the restaurant was almost empty with no more than three tables of diners.

Not quuuite as good as our favourite place to get an Indian takeaway but nice enough if we are being a little lazy and would like our takeaway delivery. We have had several now and all have been hot when they arrived and very yummy.

We went for the gourmet night which is great value for money and includes a starter, main, side, rice or naan and coffee. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was good and staff friendly. Enjoyed an excellent meal, faultless food and service. Even though a total idiot had placed a dummy order for £100 putting their kitchen under unnecessary pressure, our meal was still piping hot and delicious.
