having spent a frustrating time going to the top listed Tripadviser restaurant in Reid, only to find it was closed on a Saturday! I settled on blindly coming to this Gasthof in the middle of the town. I was not only not disappointed but very pleasantly surprised. The menu was typically Austrian, however the recommended lunch of the day, was indeed excellent in all aspects. Excellent value for money and extremely tasty. Although I'm not a beer connoisseur, this was also very good. Certainly if I were visiting this town again, I would revisit as it is also highly convenient.

We reserved through order4you.at, but when I called to advise we will be late as we were travelling from Germany, they didn't have our reservation on their books. Fortunately they could still reserve us a table. It was difficult to find it but eventually we arrived. We needed to walk through the smoking area to get to the non smoking bit, the door was open between the two, so we could still smell the smoke. The menu wasn't available in English so I needed to translate to the others. My sister ordered coke which arrived flat with no gas in it at all, the diet coke was in a bottle so I was lucky. My sister ordered the grill platter which was really nice, me and my husband ordered the Wiener Schnitzel, one with potatoes, one with chips. The potatoes were over cooked and tasted like water, weren't nice at all, the chips was all right. The portions were quite big. As there are not many restauarants in the area, I think they might take it a little bit for granted that people would visit, but don't expect high quality food, you can expect home cooked type of food, although my own food is better and I am not a professional chef.

This restaurant has a beer-garden and serves delicious regional food. Until about 3 years ago it was still allocated to the Brewery which unfortunately closed. You still get local Rieder beer (from the earlier competitor)

A traditional Austrian Pub named after the Poet Franz Stelzhamer. In our Restaurant we don't just serve the Austrian classic dishes but also have a selection Indian Dishes . We can cater for up to 450 in our main Event Room as well as a romantic diner for
Ate here twice for evening meal and really enjoyed the food. The venue is well decorated and make sure you check out out the rickshaw downstairs near the bathroom. Imported all the way from Bangladesh I understand. Service was warm, friendly and relaxed. The starters were very good (poppadoms, tuna fish balls & samosas with a great selection of different sauces - chilli, mango, yoghurt and tamarind). For mains I would highly recommend the lamb rezala, beef vindaloo and dal. That said the butternut squash and butter chicken dishes were also very good. I liked that you were able to choose rice or bread with your mains. We tried both. For desserts the ice cream sundae with berries was delicious as was the rice pudding and mango. Excellent. Worth traveling for!Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a extensive and great review about our Restaurant. We are very delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and exactly such feedback motivates us to strive into excelling in our service we provide. Thanks again and hope to welcome you again in the future.

First time I have been here it was only for dinner and I found a beautiful and typical restaurant where a polite and kind staff serve a very good food with an amazing beer. The second time I decided, due to my business trip, to stay also in the hotel: very clean rooms, comfortable and a big breakfast with many local food like apple juice, honey,...for sure I suggest both restaurant and hotel.Dear Lorens!Thank you for your perfect review! Satisfied guest are our most incentive. We swear, we are heading on ... Cheers with beer! We love to get also a positive review on google ... ;-) Regards, Charles Wirt, hotelier and beersommelier of Biergasthof Riedberg

We attended a wedding/ reception here. The facility is first class! The service is outstanding. They have the ability to serve large numbers of people very efficiently. The food was all very outstanding. The staff was constantly attentive to anyone's drink or food needs. It also is on a beautiful location high on a hill.
