I have been going to this charming mountain hut for years. It never disappoints. The food is perfectly prepared, portions as large and prices are very reasonable. Do not expect a refined cuisine but if you like Knödel with Gulasch or the perfect Apfelstrudel and you want to combine eating with a nice walk then this is your place. I prefer eating in the annex rather than the main building. Book ahead.

Wir haben in der Alpenrose sehr gut gegessen. Knödel Suppe, Spiegeleier mit Speck und auch das Wiener Schnitzel waren wirklich gut. Warum also nur 3 von 5 Punkte? Als wir mit dem Essen fertig waren kam um kurz nach 19:30 Uhr eine junge Familie mit einem Baby ins Restaurant und wollte noch essen. Leider wurde die Familie weil exakt 8 Minuten zu spät nicht mehr bedient und weiter geschickt. Sowas geht garnicht daher wegen schlechtem Service die Bewertung.

Abbiamo pranzato presso questo locale a conduzione familiare, che si trova poco sopra l'abitato di Postal. Il menù proponeva piatti tipici locali, alcuni dei quali abbiamo assaggiato. Sono risultati molto buoni e ben curati. Ambiente molto bello e titolari simpatici e disponibili.Consigliato

We stopped here for lunch after a pleasant stroll along the Brandeis Waalweg. The restaurant has amazing views over the Etsch valley. Service was friendly and efficient and as it was not very busy the waiter was able to practice his English with us. We had a really tasty apfel strudel each with apfelschorle to drink. A very pleasant place to sit and relax.

After a few hours of rock climbing nearby Lana my friend and i were hungry. We accidently stopped at this place and ordered a pizza that was made very thin (italian-style) in a stone-ovenService is also friendly and fast, can really recommend this place

A nice local restaurant with earthy local food at reasonable prices. The restaurant seems to have two rooms, I found the first one a bit dark and austere , whilst the second one, more towards the back, was much lighter and more inviting. My asparagus with ham, potatoes was delicious. All very fresh. The open house white was very drinkable too!

Hotel con ristorante pizzeria che si trova sulla vecchia statale che conduce a Merano.Bel hotel con belle sale ristorante in parte con arredamento tradizionale e in parte in stile più moderno.Cucina buona e varia con piatti classici della cucina tirolese e italiana: si possono gustare piatti tradizionali come i canederli o la selvaggina o piatti mediterranei e a base di pesce. As the title says: Great setting! I often bring friends there! Also, I love that they brew their own beers (even though the dark one makes my stomach feel strange for 2 days..). However, their biggest problem is the food. It is simply not good enough for a place like that. I guess they get so many customers they would probably make less money if they spent more on the food but its a shame nevertheless. Either way, I'll certainly be back this season, even just for the beer and atmosphereWe are sorry that you are not satisfied with our service and food. Indeed excellent service and dining.The meal was delicious, plentiful and very reasonably priced.Waiters and waitresses were super friendly and indeed interested in your dialog. Super fast service, the meal was served in a flash.1 minor drawback was the cost of an additional salad of 4 Euros.The waiter made sure though that I really wanted that.

Good prices and a very cosy stube to enjoy a meal with a group or couple. From outside looks like a typical roadside cafe, but once in you enjoy great service and a special meal.
