This is a place for pizzas. A very big selection of pizzas. They are very large and more than enough to share. We ordered 4 and brought home most. The salads are very good as well. The server was very cordial and attentive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Great to sit outside with plenty of shade areas during the day.

This small restaurant had a great secluded seating area overlooking Doef Tyrol castle. Sunny, shaded and a breat view for lunch. The menu was simp,e and the dishes ordered were very tasty. Try their take on Bruchetta. Padta dushes goid also. Great location for lunch with friendly service

Right in the middle of the Lauben pedestrian area and ideally placed for lunch.Nice table, under a nice big umbrella to keep the sun off.Staff always happy and smiling, with a very professional attitude. Orders taken, drinks on table, waiting for food.Have you ever had one of those meals where the smile on your face keeps getting bigger with every mouthful, because that is what I had.Schnitzel (Veal) potatoes and Prieselbeer Sauce (cranberry). Bit of a local delicacy.Very good food, very tasty and just the right size portion. I could easily have made myself look a pig and have gone back for more.Good local food is always nice to see on the menu, and this was no exception. A real go to place if you like good hearty, not messed with food.

I love the Gasthaus Hochmuth. Getting there is amazing as the cable car whisks you up to the top of the mountain in minutes. The view is simply jaw dropping! It was a beautiful sunny day and sitting on the terrace 1000m above Merano is a memory I will not forget.But it is a restaurant and the food is very good. What a place to linger and enjoy the Italian 'La Dolce Vita,' even though everybody speaks German first!Sausage lunch was excellent and filling...perfect before a hike to Leiter Alm.

A beautiful, old building with an amazing view over Merano and the valley. It would be the perfect place for a light lunch or a drink. Sadly it is grossly overpriced. Admittedly I have only had a tea, but at over 5 Euro, I thought that adding a pastry would have been just extravagant. Yes, it was a loose leave tea and it even had a minute biscuit, but still..........

Driving through Alto Adige, you come across this wonderful brewery and beergarden. The inside of the bar/restaurant is typically German, with waitstaff dressed in horsetrading and dirndls. The beer is good and the Bavarian-style German food, excellent. The surrounding mountains and nature are awsome, so be prepared for a great stop.

It's the second time I have the plesure to spend some holidays in Meran and after 5 years I didn't wait to go again to this fantastic typical restaurant close to Meran.It is a pleasure to stay outside with a stunning view of the mountains and inside because it is very very characteristic with its walls made with real stones and everything so nice and warm.The food is very good at reasonable prices ( I recommend the mix of grilled meat and the Canederli of course with a good Weizen beer) and the staff very kind (new management since few months here).So don't hesitate to go of you want something authentic!!Dear guest,thank you for sharing your positive experience with TripAdvisor. Seemingly hundreds of people sinking vast amounts of Forst beer from across the road to accompany the good plain Tirolean food. It's dusty, it's noisy and no place to wear your best clothes but great fun especially when there is live music

We were here already in the afternoon with the whole family for a small bite with some wine and ham, in the evening we returned for dinner. Restaurant, next to our hotel in the wine mountains has a nice terrace with impressive view to Lagund und Merano. Food was nice, pasta and meat, with Italian and Austrian influence. Good wine card with mostly regional wines from local grapes. Staff was friendly and efficient. Prices were okay for what they offer.

The restaurant is situated on top of a mountain. The view in front is marvelous. The interior is very nice too. The restaurant serves local cuisine. I have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The service is very friendly and efficient too. I am quite often in this region. Beside the luferkeller in riffian this is my favorite place around Meran.
