Finally I made it to this café , after a recommendation from a co-worker. It's the first time I have entered a bookshop café since being in one in Portland, Oregon many years ago. Obviously this one is on a much smaller scale, but it is charming nonetheless. There is an assortment of books on display and alphabetically listed. Initially I struggled with locating the area I was looking for ...but I found the biographical area and what a delightful array of secondhand books it had. After making a selection, I ordered a toastie and coffee and sat in the corner, turning pages on my latest acquisitions. I am a self professed bibliophile, so this store was ideal for me. Why did I wait so long? The coffee was okay and the café had a good selection of lactose free options. The toastie was average. But there is a charm that will certainly have you returning to this store over and over.

Friends and I caught up to have dinner here tonight. It was an interesting night... no-one approached our table for service for well over ten minutes after arriving... but when they did... the service was really consistent and quite good. The meal... the croquettes we ordered as starters were quite nice... one of my friends had calamari that was not as nice. But we all agreed the croquettes were tasty. For main one of us had the pasta, another the parma and I had the steak. Both of them tried the pasta to say it was quite tasteless. The parma apparently was good. The steak I had was well cooked but not well seasoned... it was average. The restaurant does have ambiance though... and there is heaps of street parking. The best part of tonight though was undoubtedly the service.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Bistro Grata. The food your chef servers up is always amazing, and your services is always warm, welcoming and professional. By far the best place in Traralgon to eat. 5 stars all round. Look forward to our next meal.

Well, this is restaurant we have frequented many times. This morning we were treated like second class citizens. There were four of us, the only table was for six. We were told we could have the table but would have to move if 6 people came in wanting a table. We said if we are eating we wonât move. Not good enough. We left, we are locals too. Luckily plenty of other cafes looking for business. Bad service Food Co.

Didn't get a chance to check out their food menu as most of us had already had lunch. Service was efficient and obliging and the hot drinks were good. Our friends enjoyed their bowl of fresh, hot crispy chips.

Very good menu with a wide variety of options. We chose two Vegetarian dishes and shared them and they were both delicious. The Vego Burger and the Warm Cauliflower salad. Everything we ordered was reasonably priced. The wait staff were helpful, efficient and very friendly. We left feeling glad we chose The Dark Horse. R&C

Great day, sat outside and enjoyed some sunshine. The meal was just as good as the weather. Made our selection and was then informed our selections were actually the specials for the day. Had great pasta and wine for a very minimal price. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Our friends were able to bring their dog into the gardens and the staff were happy to supply a water bowl for her. looking forward to another visit and wonderful mealHi Mark, thanks for visiting our venue, weâre glad you enjoyed your experience. We appreciate your kind words and look forward to seeing you again soon :)

Had a delicious dinner with my family in this restaurant. The food was very well cooked and tasty. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and considering it was her first night she did very well. Very attentive and always paying attention for our wine and water refills. The head waiter made us aware of our waitressâs inexperience but I considered this to be very courteous. My husband commented that his was the best meal he had in a long time. Well worth visiting.

We had to drive from near Bairnsdale to Traralgon this week for my appointment with a dental surgeon and decided to eat lunch before driving home. We had been highly recommended by a Melbourne friend to Little Prince and can now understand why! Firstly, the place looks great from the street and has an energetic vibe with great decor, lots of green plants and nice finishes inside. The floor crew are quick and professional, friendly without being OTT. Very knowledgeable about the food and gace good advice where requested. We ordered the prawn spring rolls - really innovative and delicious - and chips for my hungry partner. Very good crispy chips, even though I rarely eat them, I couldnât resist. Then a pork slider, scallop dumplngs and chicken dumplings and a dish of slightly charcoal but very crisp green beans, with sesame and almonds. Everything was excellen, modern Asian with a twist. We just drank a light beer each and there was plenty of water, refreshed as necessary. What a delight to find such fresh, innovative food and great service in a regional town!
