Busy established restaurant with friendly, efficient staff. Pleasant decor and a good range of dishes on the menu but a small criticism is that the entrees menu is too seafood orientated, so some diners may skip this course. The Bay Prawns are delicious and quite filling. Steak was a good size and tender. The restaurant is BYO which is great and I would recommend the Bay Cafe for any occasion.

We are a community hub! We have a beautiful organic cafe with Zen garden dining tucked away at the back. You would never know you are on the main road in Long Jetty! Our food is consciously and lovingly prepared by our talented chefs who will leave your t
Decided it would be nice to go for something different and get some Zen feeling. Turned out it was very expensive for vegetarian mostly. The food was o.k. but nothing special and not the tastiest. Decided to have something vegetarian (green spaghetti) which sounded lively BUT no real taste of all and very bland. Really needed some spice or something to give it a lift - was bored with it after the first two mouth fully. Setting was relaxed and Zen like. Service was good and people were very pleasant. As I said previously though expensive for basically vegetarian food - no real cost to make . . . . . Would maybe only go for a coffee and have a read in a lovely quiet setting but defiantly would not eat there again. Still try it yourself as it may be your cup of tea or coffee . . . Not ours.

We visited this restaurant and were very impressed. We chose our entrees and main meals beforehand and then 40 women descended onto the restaurant for a wild Saturday evening dinner. The staff were well organised and the food was lovely and priced well. Thank you La Costa for being so patient with us. We will return, maybe not 40 if us so don't panic. Thanks so much for your comments Deb. Great to hear you all had a good night as we certainly enjoyed hosting your group. We hope to see you all again sometime in the not too distant future.

We stayed at The entrance Ocean View Motel on our way to Brisbane (15th Aug) even though the place was being renovated as it looked great and had a restaurant. The restaurant was at the front overlooking the rock pool so the view was stunning and so was the service and food. The waitress was very friendly and service was excellent could not fault any part of our dining experience, the food and wine also excellent .These days it is so good to find a place that you can recommend to friends!Great evening and I wish we lived closer so as to dine there more often.

Went here after a fitness session with our group. Great service, coffee and food. The Benny ( Eggs Benedict) was fantastic along with the Mexican beans. Full table service with reasonable prices.

An exciting new food offering, Maccoa, has recently burst onto the Central Coast dining landscape. The beautifully elegant and simple restaurant, located at The Clan, Terrigal, boasts 180-degree views across the golden sands of Terrigal Lagoon, all the wa
This is attached to the Clan Motel in Terrigal. The dining room is plain to the extreme, but quite pleasant nonetheless. Staff are clearly from the Motel, and are enthusiastic and helpful, if sometimes a little uncertain. The Menu offers limited choices, but just enough to meet most needs. My garlic prawns were absolutely standard, and 6 largish prawns for $19 was just OK value for money. My wife declared her Wild Mushroom Pâté to be good only after she liberally seasoned it with salt and pepper. My main was a BBQ Pork Cutlet, which came with Pineapple and kale. It was actually quite good. It was very large and well cooked, and served with a very tasty jus that went well with the meat. The pineapple had been slightly pickled and was tasty without being too sweet. The kale had been sautéed, and was very similar to English Spinach. My wifeâs Fillet Beef was not cooked as requested (more medium than rare) but was still tender and quite tasty. The desserts were uninspiring, and we avoided them.Overall a reasonable Restaurant, perhaps slightly overpriced, and representing straightforward âAustralianâ cuisine that is quite tasty, and virtually guaranteed to offend no-one.Thank you very much for your feedback Simon. We appreciate you taking the time to review Maccoa Terrigal and we will definitely be passing your comments on to our team and look forward to welcoming you back soon.
