We are very fortunate living on the Bellarine Peninsula-great beaches, surf, markets, wineries and food.It is the latter where Merne showcases the best of the Bellarine. 3 of us had lunch on Saturday and could not fault the fixed price menu (we chose the pork and barramundi for shared mains).Superb.A good wine list and we were recommended the Spence 2016 pinot noir from the Barrabool Hills-great choice. We loved it so much we have booked again in 2 weeks to show other friends from outside the area the best of the Bellarine.

Dropped by here on a Monday after a disappointing visit to nearby Bennettâs winery. What an upgrade, jack rabbit wines were on a different level, delicious and full bodied and the whole range was excellent. A pot of mussels in the cafe was an excellent share snack between four before a late lunch in the restaurant. The restaurant was a real treat, spectacular food with a beautiful view. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon Thank you for taking the time to post such lovely feedback about your recent experience at both the House of Jack Rabbit, our cellar door and more casual cafe-style venue as well as our contemporary dining Restaurant here onsite, it's much appreciated. Delighted to hear you enjoyed a guided tasting through our stable of wines, they are all grown and crafted here on The Bellarine and we are very proud of them. Portarlington Mussels are always on the menu, delivered fresh daily and (dare I say it?) always divine. Delighted also, that you enjoyed your Restaurant experience and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!Cheers,Lyndsay Sharp - General Manager

My husband and I shared the grazing platter which was plenty for two. Four year old had fish n chips with a little salad on the side and a strawberry milkshake. Food was really lovely... staff friendly and courteous. Beautiful view! Have had coffee here before, excellent!

Fabulous views, great place for a Tea/Coffee/Cake as you get off the ferry from Docklands in Melbourne. Very friendly staff and owners, delicious fresh food cooked in house and without the wait. Seating is available on the balcony overlooking the harbour and the Bay.

Bistro open to public daily for lunch and dinner
Called on a Friday place very busy not your usual golf crowd .Club looks in need of a general tidy up outside with empty beer bottles and weeds at entrance, not a good look.Bistro much the same as last visit and meals still of a high standard.Noticed that wine prices are very reasonable per bottle or glass.Service a little slow however.

Set in the heart of Portarlington, you'll experience a quirkiness that warms your heart as well as your tummy. With homestyle brekkies, generous servings, mouth watering coffees and prices that will have you coming back for more.
We went for lunch. The waitress was sweet and helpful. The food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Food quality let this place down Drinks were good. Quite disappointing.

Vibe: Ultra low key. On this Winterâs day the âshedâ was initially cold and breezy. After the staff set up the heater it was toasty.Food: Mussels 100 ways! I had the chefâs selection of the day. It was around 30 mussels in a soy and chillie based stock. Rated 11/10! My partnerâs scallop pie was pretty good.Service: Staff were great company and knowledgeable.Drinks: Bellarine Brewery makes a mussel stout for them. Self described flavours of âCoffee, liquorish and a lingering taste of the seaâ. Almost like a cola/sarsaparilla with strong liquorish flavour. Sharp taste. Very weird but not unpleasantGreat experience all around, and good value for money.
