Well must say the head waitperson and a fantastic bubbly waitress made the night , so polite and sooooooo good at their jobs . They are both a fantastic asset to the restaurant . Now to the food I had lamb just perfectly cooked a lovely pink colour and the presentation on the plate would have done a 5 âï¸ restaurant proud ... zucchini flowers were a little on the small size , but tasty . All in all a great mealIn nice surroundings. Not noisy like most hotels and great team members .. WELL DONE

Hidden away in the back streets of Merewether, The Restaurant at The Burwood is a bit of a local secret. With a three schooner rating from the Sydney Morning Herald Pub food guide, the restaurant is proud to be recognised as one of the top pub restaurants
We were a very large group at a post wedding get together. A huge challenge for any kitchen when 90odd people arrive at the same time. The food was excellent, perfectly timed too . Not sure how they managed to cook so many steaks so well in a short space of time. Good service. It deserves its reputation.

Paymasters is a little haven, within walking distance of the hustle and bustle of the Newcastle CBD in NSW. Located on the Foreshore Park, overlooking the busy and picturesque Newcastle Harbour. Next door to Customs House, the heritage-listed building is
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Paymasters for lunch. What a wonderful outlook from this beautifully renovated, historical building, across parklands to the harbour beyond! For entree I chose the scallops on corn puree, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, he chose the creamy garlic prawns topped with prosciutto, once again perfectly executed. For our main we chose the roast pork knuckle with spring root vegetables and garlic and truffle mash, this was a share dish for two which could quite easily have fed three or four. Every element on this plate was full of flavour and beautifully cooked. To accompany our main we chose the suggested wine pairing of Barbera, a great choice on our part. The service provided by our waitress was excellent - attentive yet not intrusive. Our very competent chef, visited our table after we had eaten and was happy to share some of his culinary secrets with us and filled us in on the finer details of this historic building and the area in which it stands.A genuinely wonderful fine dining experience.

After opening in November 2011, Restaurant Mason received its first Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Award, One Chefâs Hat, in its first year. Since then it has gone from strength to strength maintaining its One Chefâs Hat for seven consecutive years
Five business colleagues for a Friday lunch and it was very good. In-house sourdough bread and butter to start set us up well.We all skipped entrees as we also had a dinner to attend that evening. 3 of us had the 36 hour beef rib, one had the barramundi fish of the day and the other had the pork belly. All excellent. We shared a dessert or two, and had a very good bottle of wine. Coffees to finish. And you know when the service is so spot on you donât even notice the presence of staff, this was our experience with Restaurant Mason.Superb.

Our aim is to provide simple pleasures - food that is handled with care, wine that fills the senses and service that is attentive and thoughtful.
I ordered vegetarian food which was just average. Nicely presented on the plate, and attractive to look at. However, there was no "wow" dish that stood out about the meal. It was over-priced for such a bland meal. Parking was not easy as it was on a main road.
