Nestled in the Springlake area of Mount Barker, this cafe / restaurant presented a fine selection of brunch options on our recent visit. Food presentation is a highlight. Coffee and service are both of a high standard. With the option of outdoor seating overlooking the lake and nearby playground, this is a perfect location in all weather conditions.

We have been here on a number of occasions & have always been impressed with both the food & service. On Mother's Day, we rocked up without a booking, half expecting to be turned away, as the venue was already extremely well patronised. It was a pleasant surprise to be advised that they had a nice table for 2 along the window & that we were welcome to choose from their Mother's Day menu despite not having a booking for the event. Really good customer service & their staff make you feel really welcome. We both had the pea & ham soup which was thick, flavoursome & hot & came with a slice of garlic bread. Yum! This was followed by the crumbed garfish for me & a Hawaiian Schnitty for my spouse. Nice choices & a nice addition to their traditional menu. Have never had a bad meal here & prices are very reasonable. Families are welcome & tables are plentiful. Great place to visit before the movies or if you are in a hurry. Good selection of meals, desserts, wines & drinks to suit most tastes. Can recommend as a venue for families, special occasions or just casual dining.

Although service was friendly and quick after ordering food, there was no follow up concerning drinks. I had a beef schnitzel, which was passable but not upto their usual standards, i tried one of their chips but fidnt eat the rest as they tasted fishy. I have an allergy to crustaceans and couldnt trust the chips in case they were fried in the same oil as the prawns they serve.Other than those negatives everything else was great.Hello Greg,Thank you for taking your time to leave a review and complimenting the staff and service at our Haus.We are disappointed to hear about your experience with your beef schnitzel and chips. Stopped here for take-away pizza after coming out of movie session, as we could not go pass the smell of the wood oven pizzaâs, so glad we did, modern take on classic pizzas and some amazing gourmet ranges, the smell was enticing, the taste was to die for, not a vegetarian but could turn into one with their choice of vegetarian pizzas, there is also a full fledge restaurant called the oak and Iron in the tavern and thrillers also serve burgers with a few other things, Dine in or take-away, Iâm seriously not a big eater but I would sit on it all night to have to myself been back twice in the last week and a half, yes slack week.....quality same each time

I had breakfast here with two friends. It has a lovely atmosphere and the food and coffee were both excellent. I ordered the smashed avo with poached egg, as did my friend, and my other friend ordered poached eggs on toast with bacon. All of our eggs were perfectly poached, cooked with runny yokes! The avo on toast was very generous and super tasty. The bread was really nice but tasted quite sweet so had me a little worried about calorie content but who cares - it was yum! Not too expensive and didnât take too long to come. Coffee was perfect too, didnât even need sugar. Would go back.

Our dining experience at The Lane Vineyard restaurant was beyond our expectations, from the magnificent view across the rolling green hills, to the light filled restaurant and of course the exceptional wine and food produced at this magnificent establishment. This was an experience we will not be forgetting in a hurry and we canât thank the staff enough for making our anniversary so memorable in every way. We will definitely be back. Life is not complete without a meal at this restaurant.

Had lunch at The Barker and we were surprised at the range of choices on the menu. They also had a daily specials menu from which we chose the roast of the day and soup of the day. Started with the pitta bread and dips which was delicious and great value for the price. It was a very cold day and the friendly, efficient waitress gave us a table right in front of the fire which we really appreciated. Decor is lovely and the food delicious.
