We recently had brunch here with family for my daughters birthday breakfast and the place is just beautiful and the food was delicious however we were so let down by the service. It was very slow and we ordered our coffee and breakfast at the same time but coffee did not arrive until after breakfast had been served. They forgot one of our meals and didnât bother to ask if there was anything else when clearly one person had no meal. The waitress that took our order looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but there, no smile and barely said a word, was not welcoming at all. It was a disappointing start to my daughters surprise birthday celebrations as this was our first stop of a day of adventures for her. Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this feedback.I am so very sorry to read this. It's inexcusable. As a small, family-run business that we pour our heart and soul into every day, this is devastating to hear. Did you ask to chat with our manager on the day? I so wish you had, so we could have immediately apologised, spoken tot he staff member in question and helped to improve your experience. We'd love to hear more so please email me directly with some more info so we can help [email protected]

The ambience was good specially the seating area outside specially during good weather. But Im a bit disappointed with the food. In the menu it was stated "crumbed pork with some kind of a calslaw with duck oil potatoes" Aahay It's basically a "huge shnitzel pork" with gravy!! Shintzel is one of my "not so favorite food"!! So I just have to eat and swallow it all since we paid for it!! Make the menu simple description so people could know exactly what they are ordering.Hello Nancy LThank you very much for taking the time to review us. We are disappointed to hear that our food did not meet your expectations in this instance. We attempt to make our dishes as easy to understand as possible, in the case of the dish you ordered, we chose to describe it as a crumbed pork cutlet, rather than a pork schnitzel, as it contains bone still. This is served with the kale, apple and muntries slaw and the duck fat kipfler potatoes. we apologise if this description wasnât clear enough. Your comments have been passed on to our kitchen team for review. We hope to see you again at the Stirling Hotel, in future if there are any dishes that you should require additional information on, I invite you to speak to one of our friendly team, who will be happy to help, ensuring that you are ordering what you are expecting.Kind regards,MathewManager

Had read many reviews before deciding to come here( not far from home ) some good some not so good but like all the reviews i post reviews are just that .a take on someone's opinion. For me it was mostly a positive and pleasant experience which started with the friendly girl who took my booking earlier in the day and who also waited on us during the night. We all choose something different and all looked and tasted good ( me being the official taster )but I choose the burger which was a bit dry and in reality just a burger .Good selection of beers and wines and a really good coffee to finish .PS the Churros for desert was awesome and very fresh .

Dinner for 3 on a freezing early winter night. Two of us had beetroot and chilli glazed lamb shanks, which were absolutely delicious, but do epitomise the problem with shanks: one isn't enough, two are too many! I managed my two, my friend doggy bagged her leftovers. The third dish was a Hay Valley lamb and fennel pie, looked fabulous, and received rave reviews. The wine selections are interesting, and we did well, with some Hahndorf Hill shiraz, a Jericho rose by the glass, and another white wine I've forgotten. Pleasant atmosphere, nice and warm with a slow combustion stove going in the background. My only (very tiny) criticism is that after we had finished our food, and our table had been cleared, the staff spent a long time talking among themselves, and one of us had to get up and ask for the bill. Just a momentary lapse, no doubt, and no big thing. Overall, the service, the food and the wine were totally up to expectations. I'll be back.

Whether you're looking for a romantic candle lit dinner, superb Sunday lunch, lazy weekend breakfast, a finely crafted coffee on the go, or somewhere to host a function, Restaurant Tranquilo is a very popular Adelaide Hills eatery to please all occasions.
We purchased a scoupon and had a very enjoyable meal. You get a glass of wine each and a trio of dips to share for starters. We both had the beef cheeks which was a very nice main course. It was a cold and drizzly day and so it was nice and warm. Its a popular cafe as it was quite busy for a lunch time and the other meals looked good as well.We appreciate your positive review and we are happy you enjoyed your lunch with us thank you

Whilst this place has a great atmosphere and vibe. The food is delicious the market shop great selection. The loos are although decorated in a fun way...filthy! The white goods are cleaned but the walls and lights and decorations are covered with thick layer of dust and dirt. I shudder to think if no one cleans the loos do they clean the kitchen?Hi Cherie - thanks for the posting re the state of our âloosâ. You are right - the adornments on the wall and ceiling are showing their age and have collected dust. The âloosâ are cleaned and sanitised on a daily basis by commercial cleaners - obviously the focus has been below head height. The kitchen? Floors are cleaned each evening by commercial cleaners and all surfaces by the staff as part of their daily end of shift routine - they are quite fastidious with their task. Thanks - the pencil has been sharpened! Grahame Murray, Owner, The Organic Market & Café

Beautifully renovated Aussie pub with a French bistro influence. Casual dining with one of South Australia's best wine cellars.
New to town we selected the Crafers Hotel based on TripAdvisor recommendations. Our meal was very good. We selected Barramundi and fillet steak. Both were superb. Staff were friendly and efficient. Wine cellar looked excellent. Could have used a few more basic dishes on the menu. Most enjoyable and worthy of 5/5.Dear peterq2,Thank you for coming on a recommendation- and welcome to the Adelaide Hills! We're so pleased both meal and service were enjoyable. We hope to welcome you back to the hotel again soon.Kind Regards,Hayley Kerin

Mount Lofty House was built in 1852 for Arthur Hardy. It was his summer residence, but it also became a venue for the most lavish parties, where Arthur would take great delight in hosting Adelaide's high society. Today, the space has been transformed into
We were a group of 8 celebrating a significant family birthday and in anticipation of a long night, we all booked rooms to stay. We were allocated a semi-private space which we really appreciated. The night unfolded at an appropriately leisurely pace and the food was excellent. Innovative cuisine with a good variety of food styles. Everyone loved it. One word of caution. Don't let your kids get hold of the wine menu. The wines they ordered were very good but the final total on checkout was a bit of a surprise!
