If you have ever driven through Wahgunyah, chances are you have had to stop at the red light which controls traffic on the bridge across the mighty Murray River to Corowa.Chances are you have missed a great aussie pub experience sitting right there at that red light. The Old Empire Hotel has a fantastic little bar just waiting for you to sit and enjoy a cold beer, or one of the great local wines.Plenty of parking and friendly staff will make your stop well worth the effort. So donât just stop at the bridge light, pull over for a few moments and enjoy the Old Empire.Thank you for getting us started on Tripadvisor:-)

What a magnificent little cafe, had breakfast here twice during the busiest weekend of the year and both days their service, attitude and food quality was in questionable. Delightful experience. Certainly head I. For great food, standard cafe pricing, and friendly approachable staff of a great mix of age demographics.

Visited here again on our recent group trip to Corowa. A good meal in the dining room at reasonable prices. They have not long opened a picture theatre on site with seats like gold class, only looked in the door but looked fantastic.Well worth a visit for a meal.

We had dinner there with friends and weren't disappointed. The food was lovely as was the service and the prices were not bad either. We sat inside but there's also an outside terrace if you prefer. The menu whilst not large had a good selection of dishes. The service was friendly and efficient and our meals didn't take long to come even though the place was pretty full. They also have a reasonable drink list as well.

My wife & I visited the Newmarket Hotel for lunch on both Thursday & Friday and had excellent meals on both occasions complete with good friendly service. They have a full menu available, together with daily specials and also a Seniors Board with a large choice of meals for $12.00 (which are not cut down to size for "seniors" as in some establishments. This meal also comes with a complimentary sweet which were delicious on both days. For our mains we had on the first day flathead, chips & salad and fettuccine carbonara (which my wife raved about) and on the second day, lamb shank with vegetables & mash and steak sandwich & chips. The local diners were friendly and on for a chat. Would definitely recommend and come again next time we are in the area.

Royal Hotel in Corowa is a family friendly pub with clean comfortable accommodation. It's friendly staff in the bar and restaurant are here to make your visit in our town pleasant and memorable.
We visited for dinner in early Jan after seeing that the pub had re opened. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it has been restored to original condition in many places. The atmosphere was excellent, the food great and very well priced and the service was second to none. Highly recommend for a good night out.Thank you so much!

Owner operated winery cafe in the heart of the Rutherglen wine region committed to regional produce, friendly service and great coffee.
Ordered the shared platter of antipasto and it was simply delicious. Presentation of the platter was mouthwatering and serving abundant, all washed down with a glass of local white wine. Service was professional and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

This is one of my wife's favourite breakfast/lunch places in Corowa. The staff are very friendly and the food is good without being haute cuisine. It is rustic which creates a great old world atmosphere â ideal for a wedding. You don't have to do a taste test of the chocolates or whiskey to enjoy the cafe but we did and we enjoyed it. [The whiskey and chocolates are expensive though.] The staff do try and be friendly which is welcoming. It is good for groups too. They also have some cakes and even home made panacotta. Worth a visit.Thank you for the kind review! Hope to see you back here again soon! :)

Terrace Restaurant is adjacent to the All Saints Estate cellar door and overlooks sweeping lawns to the vineyards beyond. No wonder it is North East Victoria's favorite dining experience! Here you can sample award-winning wines and discover divine local p
My foodie friends had not dined at Terrace yet, so I booked us a lunch.I am never disappointed and think the food is always special, I was pleased that my friends agreed and were so blown away by our lunch with matched wine. The service is always outstanding and it was a beautful day so the sides were open with Molly sitting under the tree keeping a watchful eye on Nick. Simon is so talented with the flavors and presentation of his dishes, perfect day loved it.
