Had lunch here to day and it was very good indeed. I had the beef and bacon burger whilst my wife and son had the battered fish and chips. We all enjoyed our meals. I asked to swap my chips for a salad and this was not issue at all. Also had a fresh juice. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. A mice amosphere in and one building with a very nice vibe to it. We intend to come back and try the breakfast offering in the next day or so. Well worth a visit.

The MALLEE GRILL was packed to the rafters, Burnie Show holiday, but we still enjoyed the same level of top service and superb flame grilled steaks cooked to our perfection, Bain Marie was continually restocked with a huge selection of salads, PLUS hot, steam cooked carrots, corn on the cob, pumpkin and also cheese cauli....all included in our meal price...we just keep coming back for more and more!!!!

I called into this fish shop on our way to Smithton. The fresh fish on display had my mouth drooling. My husband and I asked, if we bought a side of fresh fish, could they cook it for us, and yes!!! they did so to perfection. I love a fish shop that I can order my piece of fish to be cooked. I highly recommend this shop, and the staff are soooo lovely

Family owned business employing locals. Started in 2011 and still growing. Best sushi in the North West Coast supplying IGA supermarkets from Latrobe through Smithton and local schools. We are a casual dining restaurant/cafe with no pokies .
We've dined at Leonardoz on previous occasions and always found it pleasant. on this occasion, we were part of a very large birthday party group and I think the large group aspect is where the problems began. We arrived at 5:45 pm for dinner starting at 6:30 pm. Good location for the large group in the back of the restaurant. Understandable they were not ready to take orders before 6:30 pm and advised orders would be taken at 7:00 pm. Fair enough. We were still waiting at 7:30 pm and gave our order a bit after. At 8:40 pm, no sign of our dinner, and my wife feeling unwell we had to leave. I got a sense they were overwhelmed by the number of people and were struggling to service this many. Based on our past positive experiences this was an all-round disappointing dining experience.Thank you for your time to give us a review. Please find below a brief description from our point of view.Your party of confirmed 50ppl was booked at 6.30pm for 7pm service.I personally had confirmed on 3 separate occasions that we will take order at the table in orderly fashion. The confirmed 50 ppl only received 2 hours before the booked time. Party was organised for 5 separate tables T26, T27, T28, T29 and T30(being the biggest which was where you were sitting)YOU ARRIVED AT 5.28PM!!!5.43 pm I personally delivered 2 more chairs to your table at the request of your wife5.48 pm you purchased a bottle of wine with 1 glass and a drink of your own5.51pm your wife had a second fill of her glass6.05pm I delivered a cake table at the request of the party organiser which was never requested initially.6pm-6.20pm we had numerous people came up to the counter to place their meal orders even though it had been explained numerous times that we will take everyone order at the table in orderly fashion. 6.20pm your wife had a third fill of her glass of wine6.30pm 4th fill6.36pm I again delivered further 2 chairs to add to your party6.41pm order started to be taken from T26 not 7.30pm as you mentioned above.6.53pm Your wife was enjoying herself taking photos with her friends 6.54pm fill up her glass of winePlease note that neither you and anyone in the party had ordered entrees from the moment you sat foot in our premise 7.19pm Order was taken for your table T30 starting from you and your wife, she appeared fine at this stage.7.20pm T26 meals were brought out merely 40 minutes from the time it was taken at 6.41pmRemember your function was confirmed 50ppl but we knew by now that there were more there on the night.7.21pm It appears that your wife had finished her bottle7.35pm one of your wife's friend happily filled your wife's wine glass 7.50pm another fill from her friend, you would have seen that as she was sitting directly in front of you wearing a white jacketBetween 7.20pm - 8-24pm we continued to bring out meals for T26, T27, T28 and T29.8.19pm your wife felt unwell as she walked towards the toilet facility with the aid of one of her friend to open the toilet door and you happily sat in your chair probably wondering when would my meals would come.8.20pm you walked to the counter to tell one of our staff that you wishes to cancel your meals and I happened to be in the vicinity and I verbally authorised it without charging you even though we already cooked the meals and ready to plate it up.8.24pm you walked out by aiding your wife in to your car out front of our building8.25pm meals was brought out for T30.So not only you turned up over 1 hour early from the booked time, your wife seemed to enjoy the wine that you purchased for her and with the aid of her friend who sat opposite you she really enjoyed her time there.Unfortunately our food did not come early enough to slow the happiness down as we received numerous request from your group for odds and ends .Overwhelmed- absolutely, not by the numbers of the booked people but by other things as explained aboveFrustrated- you are absolutely correct also, put yourself in our shoes. are we supposed to babysit someone when they are having a good time especially at the aid of one of her own friend. That friend actually thank me personally at the end of the night because she also had a ball.We had function for 120 ppl with more finesse than what we experienced that night.Having of service to you and your party was very much appreciated and we clearly showed that we were eager to please having to deliver chairs and table in more than 1 occasion on the night but having to receive a negative review which we had nothing to do with was an all round disappointing experience none the less but we shall take it on the chin and keep on trucking. NEXT!PS: ALL TIME ABOVE AS NOTED FROM OUR CCTV SYSTEM WHICH YOU HAPPENED TO BE SITTING RIGHT UNDER ONE OF CAMERA AND HAPPY TO SUPPLY A COPY OF IT IF YOU WISH.

Licensed seafood café open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Fish on the Edge compliments fresh Tasmanian and Australian seafood with crisp salads and vegetables adding a modern twist to the traditional
Glad this place is open Tuesdays for lunch! Good menu with good choices, great service, good food and licensed. Reasonable prices. But in modern restaurant terms, it's fairly basic. More a cafe. But fish was well-cooked, salad was small and plain, chips were, well, chips. Good when nothing else was open, but would I go back? Maybe .Thanks for your review. We are known for our perfectly cooked fish and chips, our fabulous customer service, and our relaxed casual 'licenced cafe' setting. I'm sorry you didn't feel we were worthy of a 5 bubble review, but super glad you still enjoyed the food. Hope to see you again soon!

Popped in here for a quick bite for lunch. I got the chicken wrap and had low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised of how good this was! Juicy chicken and great flavours. Also came with a side of chips. Great coffee and spectacular views! Location location!!Give it a go.

Donât let the unassuming exterior and tired sign put you off! This place is a gem of fabulous food and great service. The menu isnât lengthy - about 11 mains choices, from recollection, but the restaurant isnât big and what they do is done well. Beautiful presentation, adequate portions and something beyond what you might cook at home. A main course with wine and coffee is a little over $30. Not open in the evening except by special arrangement.

What a great restaurant at Hellyers after our tour. We really enjoyed the tour then sat down for lunch. It was the BEST food we have eaten in a long time, service great, reasonably priced (see photo of receipt) and food was just PERFECT - could not fault anything. We started with a fresh and warm garlic and cheese bread which we all agreed was the best bread we had EVER eaten! So, so good to see at GREAT, HEALTHY kids meal and just $9!!! Well done for not being like 99% of other restaurants offering kids nuggets, chips, chicken, pizzas etc. The kids platter (pictures) was perfect, chicken sandwich, fruits, cheese, biscuits and lollies to finish. The tasting platter for 2 was FANTASTIC, every item on it was divine. Very very good. We were FULL after it so plenty to fill 2 hearty eaters. Washed down with Hellyers Cream Whiskey (similar to Baileyâs) for just $3. LOVED it snd bought 2 bottles to take home. We will DEFINITELY return. All meals we saw others receive looked GREAT. Canât wait to come back. Really happy with the prices. Well done to all the team - all girls - not a man in sight

Called in for lunch and was not disappointed. Did not have what I wanted (as just sold out of the steak at 1215 hrs?) but chose the burger which was delicious, coffee was excellent and the service fast and friendly. Very busy cafe but well organised.

Bayviews Restaurant & Lounge Bar is located on the beach in Burnie. The Restaurant serves modern Tasmanian cuisine and seats up to 80 people. Our private function room seats up to 130 people. Great place for business meetings, functions, weddings and spec
A stunning venue looking out across the bay at Burnie Esplanade into Bass Strait. The staff were very welcoming and proficient. The biggest issue was narrowing the magnificent culinary delights down to one selection. Unless you sample from a loved one's plate as I did. Wow, wow and wow. Desert was impossible to choose one so we shared the desert tasting platter. Spoil yourself and dine in style.
