The meals were of generous portions, promptly served and enjoyable. Staff were friendly and cheerful. The ambience was pleasant and relaxing. The Kraken schnitzel was a winner.

Great place for the lunch special. Good service, cold drinks and nice quick meal from a choice of four or five. Seemed to be popular with locals & pensioners. Found out the history of the club a little later, which as a trade unionist pleased me no end.

Beautiful venue that gives a wonderful atmosphere. The service is second to none, the waitresses constantly on the move. The entertainment was excellent, apparently the owner of the Hotel loves to sing and boy can he sing. The food was delicious, I highly recommend a visit! Value for money.

Renovated 1890's Broken Hill Hotel and now includes a front bar with TAB, lounge bar, bistro, restaurant and function areas. Menus comprise an extensive choice of Australian selections with lesser Indian, Italian and vegetarian/vegan choices. Reverse cycl
In brief: garlic bread arrived about 15 minutes after being ordered - with no garlic butter. The waiter, Robert, immediately took it to the kitchen and it was replaced about 10 minutes later. Robert was pleasantly generous with the wine by the glass. Main meals - rice with curry very dry, curry (chicken) was OK. Lamb backstrap salad was tenderish, and itâs accompanying salad a smallish serve of iceberg lettuce and a few strips of other salad veggies. Dessert, however, was fabulous, explained and served from the dessert trolley by Robert. I would return for dessert but not mains. Silvers was also the most pricey of the 3 pubs we ate in during our stay in Broken Hill and we found the food in the others better cooked and more tasty.

After being pounced upon for drinks on arrival, the rest of the evening lacked service. Hubby's Eye Fillet steak was fine, my Morrocan Tangine was average. Wait staff were inattentive despite there being hardly any customers on a mid week evening. The overall experience was disappointing and I would recommend the Royal Exchange Hotel as far better for fine dining in Broken Hill.

we had our first meal at Broken hill here last weekend, we have been here several times as we annually travel to Broken Hill and have previously loved eating here. This time we had 5 friends with us on our recommendation. Unfortunately we were not happy with our meals. Three of us ordered prawn dishes being prawns and rice in a volauvant and one in a salad. The volauvant was tough and hard to cut, the prawns were universally tasteless. we would suggest that the restaurant not use prawns.

Here for the Broken Heel festival as part of a tour group. We preordered meals, though this made little difference as they were all served at different times, the risotto was served after most of the group had finished eating. It was not worth the wait, despite only eating 2 mouthfuls and requesting feedback be provided to the manager, no follow-up was done. Main meal plates were not cleared prior to serving dessert, what a shambles!
