We were a party of 8 last Saturday evening, we had reserved a table and this was ready for us as we arrived. It was a very busy night but it was also obvious from the moment of arrival that the restaurant wanted to capitalise on the level of demand and move people through and out as quickly as possible.Almost before we had sat down we were addressed by one of the waiters (very dark black hair and black thick glasses) for how many popadoms we wanted and what we wanted to drink, we asked for a few moments to decide. He then returned and took our order. On the menu food listed under Main Course it says they come with rice. Four of our party ordered from the Main Course section so we were expecting 4 rice dishes to accompany them, we checked this with our waiter who confirmed this was correct. We also ordered 2 extra rice dishes so we would have 6 between the 8 of us.When the meals arrived my wife was the first to remark as to how small the dishes were, and she is not a big eater. Then we realised that NO rice side dishes had arrived and so we asked about them, we were told they were just coming, they never did. We asked again, and again and eventually the 2 extra rice dishes arrived but no sign of the 4 that should have come with the main course dishes. However by this time most of us had eaten most of the small portions put in front of us using different breads and not waiting for the rice to arrive. One of our party had ordered Monk fish as her main and that had not arrived and so we asked where it was. Again we were told it was just coming, it wasn't and it didn't well not until almost the end of the night when the other 7 in the party had finished their meals and the lady expecting the fish dish had helped her husband with his because she was so hungry, but given the dish was small that wasn't a lot to share. When they did bring the Monk fish we refused to accept it, as we were about to leave the restaurant, and sent it back. We also asked to speak to the manager and explained the issues we had faced to him. He apologised and said he would knock the cost of the rice and the Monk fish off our bill - this was remarkably good of him when you think WE HAD NEVER HAD THEM so he was not knocking anything off he was just charging us for what we had had and offering nothing in the sway of compensation which had turned out to be an awful night. One of our party did mention this to him when we were leaving and he did, after a lot of persuading, offer us a bottle of sparkling wine to take with us.You should also know that one of our party, who travels to India a great deal with his work, rated the food 6/10 at the very best.Very disappointing, we wont be returning and would advise others the shop around for other Indian restaurants in Worcester

Tasteful and very nicely decorated. You can clearly see they have invested in this restaurant. Service and customer service was outstanding. Food Priced was fair. Food wasnât the best Thai I have ever had but good quality. Felt my Thai green lacked strong flavours and that was the same for my spring rolls. However coconut rice was spot on.

Singapore Restaurant in Friar Street, Worcester is a modern Cantonese restaurant offering quality Cantonese cuisines, tucked in one of the most historic streets in Worcester. The restaurant opens SEVEN DAYS a week. The restaurant is open from 5pm to 11pm
We visited Singapore Restaurant as we had heard good things about their veggie/vegan menu - we were not disappointed! They had a varied vegetarian menu (with most things suitable for vegans apart from egg noodles) and we chose the crispy vegetarian duck to start, followed by sweet and sour mock chicken, stir fried broccoli, vermicelli noodles and salt and pepper tofu. The duck and chicken were incredibly delicious and very realistic - we couldnât believe the taste. We enjoyed everything that we ordered and canât wait to return. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Introduced some friends who really enjoyed my choice of restaurant which is now the best in Worcester serving Indian food.Chicken puree for a starter and a new choice for me of chicken hyderabadi were both a super taste with a nice amount of spice, accompanied by a lovely naan bread. The staff are also excellent with and very helpful.

Worcester's favourite Indian restaurant.
We had a very enjoyable meal here. Interestingly, the 'usual' tray of chutneys etc to go with forthcoming poppadoms were already present on all tables. The service was very quick, efficient and exceptionally friendly, it's always nice to be treated as a valued customer. We shared a chicken saag with a vegetable balti with a plain rice and a plain naan. This was more the enough to satisfy our appetites. Afterwards, it was a nice surprise to get ice cream, a Tia Maria topped with cream and some sweets - all on the house!Thank you for taking the time to post your kind comments. Do come see us again next time you are visiting Worcester.
