No reservations accepted here. We "checked-in" at 5:40pm and were told we wouldn't be seated before 7:30pm. Our name and phone number was asked and they said they would call. Not trusting that they would, my husband came down from the Sundial Hotel where we were staying (right above the restaurant) at 7:20pm to check the status of our position in the queue. When he was told a table was being cleared for us, he called the rest of our party to come down from the hotel (2 were there and myself and my daughter were coming down). It took us 5 mins to come down from our room and because only 2 of the 4 where there when they were FINALLY ready, they gave our table to another party and asked us to wait some more. Really??? We have been to some of the finest or most desirable restaurants in Toronto and they don't even do that! I couldn't help but be reminded of the service you get in the Emergency of most Canadian hospitals with this experience; large sitting area at the entrance and you will be waiting for what seems like a lifetime. To add insult to injury, when you are having your meal, forget about taking it easy a bit and finally relaxing because you will definitely be given the vibe to order fast, eat fast, and get out of there fast because some other fool has also been waiting for 2+ hours. I hope their entire party is present the second they are called to be seated!

I used to equally love both Samarai Sushi locations in Creekside and Nesters, until the Creekside location downgraded from yummy sushi and bowls to just bowls ... now I go only to the Nester location. I love their sushi rolls and their incredible Spicy Agedashi Tofu !!! The best !! Thank you so much ! The only request I would like is please add Inari to your nigiri menu ! thankyou !!

Roundhouse Lodge is the largest restaurant up Whistler Mountain. It's self serve with plenty of choice and good value. Lots of seating but it still gets very busy 12.00 to 1.30pm in season. Large groups could eat early / late to avoid crowd, or find a table before you order. Very conveniently sited adjacent top of Whistler Gondola & Peak2peak.

"Izakayas" are informal Japanese gastropubs popular throughout Japan known for serving tapas-style food. Located in the Royal Bank Building in Whistler Village, Harajuku's interior is inspired by a Japanese village in the early 1900s. Our cosy nooks and l
We (family of four) were in Whistler for just over 2 weeks of skiing and boarding. Over the course of our stay we dined here 3 times after discovering this place on last yearâs trip.I find that all the Japanese restaurants I like are not easy to find and in this regard, Harajuku Izakaya is in this tradition. It is basically through a car park at the back of the main village Supermarket, up some stairs on the left. It is quite popular so suggest booking first. The food here is excellent and was very consistent over the nights we dined here. My favourite is the black cod but their salads are also excellent and really everything is top quality. The service is also very friendly and efficient. The decor is quite detailed and inviting. Try the rotating BC beer.Arigatou gozaimasu! So glad you found us and for choosing to dine with us multiple times! See you next year :)

Better suited for families who wish to stand around watching your food cookedThe raw meat and seafood should be really far from each other. Saw several people using the same tongs to fill their bowls. Thankfully only one person in our group had a bit of a stomach upset Thank you for the review. All of our meats and seafood are in the same area although we have separate tongs for each item we do understand that some people do use the same when selecting each item. This is why we ensure that all the food is cooked thoroughly. Please email [email protected] as we would appreciate more information.

Youâll love sushi village! My family and I are a bunch of skiers who have visited whistler many times for the amazing mountains. We have been going there for seven years and every year, we return to Sushi Village. Their food is consistently amazing; we have their sesame seaweed salads and fresh delicious sushi that our whole family can not get enough of. Another great thing is the environment; each group of people gets a secluded booth where they can eat and still feel like they are in a peaceful environment. One thing to take note of is that it is often fairly crowded and difficult to get a spot right away if you donât have a reservation. Otherwise, if you are up to trying sushi or already love sushi and find yourself in Whistler, definitely stop by!

Below average sushi rolls. When ordering green tea it comes out of a plastic tea pot, they don't leave the tea pot at table, tasted a bit watered down. Fast service. Fried soft shell crab was great. Spicy tuna roll was tasteless. Assorted sashimi had good variety and amount. Yakitori (teriyaki chicken) okay.
