We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly to sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the fish, creating a new and exciting culinary experience. Miku own
We had a wonderful and most delicious lunch unfortunately the round face Asian girl who kept clearing our table disappointed us. Why must she remove every item immediately disturbing our lunch. Most annoying was she cleared my husbands dish even before he put his chopsticks down. Then she stood beside me hoping to remove my plate as I was just picking my last piece of sushi. I had to tell her to stop, but she still cleared and wipe the table while I was still eating. We both found this most annoying and we brought the rating down 2 notches. Looks like she was a server in a wanton shop before joining Miku. Can some one teach her proper service as when to take away the dishes..

The chicken broth was rich and creamy. Really good ramen, but just wish the menu at this location had more offerings. Was really looking forward to a pork broth but it want offered. The other Vancouver location on Robson St also had dumplings, so if given a choice, maybe go to that location.

The food and service was good, however after a while I found the low wooden setaing and thin cushion pretty uncomfortable. Huge portions if you order the large, enough for 2.

We came on a magazine recommendation and ordered a good selection: gado gado, eggplant fries, mee goreng, pineapple fried rice, beers, sangria and mango sticky rice. I highly recommend the eggplant fries and pineapple rice! Gado gado is disappointing if you've had it in Indonesia. Mee goreng seemed expensive for what you get. Also I wrote this review for $5 off but actually you get a coupon for $5 off the next time you come if you spend $20 on food. I'd still come again if I was in the area...

Our family of four (two teenage sons) loved this tiny little restaurant where they make the noodles fresh for your soup. The dim-sum and pork dumplings were to die for! We highly recommend eating here. Tiny, local, and affordable.

Fits a party of 8 just perfectly. We enjoyed many nicely prepared dishes such as ebi flower, beef in rice wrap, seafood buckwheat soba, yam tempura, raw spot prawns, toro and sockeye sashimi, tuna takaki salad, seaweed salad, miso soup, caterpillar roll, chopped scallop and ikura rolls. Beautiful washrooms, very modern ambience. Great service. Lots of staff preparing the food. Underground and street parking. Nice small patio with heat lamps.

This place busy so I would advised to book. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs prepare our sushi. The fish was very fresh and the salmon sashimi was amazing. Will return next time we are in Vancouver.

Was visiting with my husband and stepdaughter who studied abroad in japan for 6 months. She said it truly reminded her of the Izakaya that she remembered during her time living in Japan. We waited about 10 minutes and were seated at the center dining table which is long and shared. She is vegetarian and ordered edamame, the fried corn, and rice balls (which is just Onigiri). My husband had the Kobe beef and I had one of the specials called Hell Chicken and it was EXTREMELY spicy. We also ordered a green salad which was delicious and enough for 2 people. This was a delightful place for dinner and I highly recommend!

We decided to book up for a really special Christmas lunch out, and as weâd heard some good things about the Beachhouse in West Vancouver, the Beachhouse it was. There were just the two of us, and Iâm sure we were ushered over to the best table in the house! The view of the water and the promenade was breathtaking! The menu was not pretentious and there was not a huge selection, but what we were offered was chosen with care, and we had a really memorable lunch on a gusty, cold and sunny Christmas Day. Hello thank you so much for the kind words! We strive to always create the best experiences possible for our guests. I am really happy to hear you enjoyed yourself and look forward to seeing you soon.
