My local Chinese very near my home... Never been so on a rainy night we visited the Golden Swallow... Its split in two as they do a busy take away... Dozens of people calling in.. The other part is a restaurant and we are glad we reserved as it was full and stayed that way... We had starter and mains and the food was lovely.. Really nice... Prawns were super.. Spring rolls were big everything was so good and did I mention the noodles..

Having driven past a number of times, we decided to give it a go. When we asked for a table for 2 the waitress had no idea what to do. Since there was nobody else seated what was the problem?The food was OK, the service not bad but overall a poor experience. The tables are in two rows with the staff constantly and repeatedly walking back and forward between what appeared to be two kitchens. It felt like a Takeaway with a few tables added. My biggest concern was that as we got acclimatized to the place, we realised just how dirty it was. I don't think I have eaten anywhere quite as filthy, even in China. The cutlery was greasy, the curtains would have stood up on their own and the carpet so grubby that if you stood still, you stuck to it!A pity, because I think this place has some potential. A deep clean, tidy up and redecorate would work wonders.

Went here before way back and was good, a promising restaurant hence hoping for more. On this occasion have to say was disappointed. I picked a daal side dish as a starter and was very watery and rather tasteless. Friend's chicken dish starter very dry. Mains were good.. solid takeaway standard say. Good naans too. Desserts were not what I'd expect from an Indian. Just standard fare and nothing authentic. Overall not enough here for another visit soon tho possibly as a takeaway.

The restaurant is run down unfortunately. But the food is amazing the best indian in west lothian. If the restaurant was spruced up to match the quality of food and the staff. I would definitely eat in the restaurant all the time instead of delivery

We came here a while ago when it was in eliburn. Staff very nice and the decor was lovely but out of 12 of us 3 of us were ill afterwards, I wouldn't visit again, not a big fan of Indian food .the rest of the family enjoyed it though

Popped in on a recent shopping trip for a light lunch. We shared a selection of starters with a beer.The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. Piping hot, great taste and well presented - whatâs not to like about this brand. We love this place. It's as good a curry as you'll get in Glasgow or Edinburgh, never mind West Lothian. Friendly owners. The Lamb Jalandhari, a variation of Punjabi Masala, is the best I've ever tasted. We also love the Desi Lamb, Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Chettinad & the superb Tarka Daal. Even the complimentary smoky spiced onions & dips are a cut above the norm.

Dropped in for lunch today just after 12.00 Place was filling up rapidly ,great selection of food on offer with the roast of the day being Pork which my partner said was delicious I had the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Chicken Korma Superb flavours . The desserts do not set the heather on fire but we did not come for them it is the excellent starters and variety of main courses that do it for us .
