Came here for Dinner on Saturday with the family and was disappointed. Portions were small, show lacking any energy. We sat to eat at 6:00pm by 6:30pm they were throwing bill at us to get out. Would definitely NOT be coming back. Im not a fan of hibachi anyway, but this confirmed for me.

Looking for something different to celebrate a birthday and decided to give Izumi a try. We have been to other hibachi restaurants, but more for the show than the quality of the food. Izumi provides both the show and very good food. We had the Gyoza dumplings which were excellent and various hibachi dinners from steak, chicken and shrimp. We had one rice allergy and they substituted noodles. The prices and service was also good.
Excellent value and good sushi selection at this place. Salmon sashimi is my personal favorite it's top quality compared to some other all you can eat places. They have plenty of specialty and regular rolls for roll lovers but the best value and quality here are sushi and sashimi choices. Some rolls are more fillers then actual fish but many others are outstanding, just discover your favorites and stick with them. Appetizer selections are plenty here but not of great quality so I would skip them altogether maybe except for some occasional soup and salad choices. Service is attentive, never had an issue. Overall it's a great spot to satisfy your sushi cravings without braking a bank and in a comfy casual atmosphere.

I've been here twice with my family. Both times the service and food were excellent. Brand new and clean restaurant. Fair prices and good drinks. We had the shrimp tempora and combo hibachi dinner. Scallops were delicious. We will return. We go during the week, never too busy.

Friends suggested that we try this restaurant .Everything was a la carte and quite expensive for a restaurant of this kind. The food was okay .Service was average.

Thai Coconut is too good for its own good, if you get what Iâm saying. Indisputably the most authentic Thai food on Long Island by far. Long Island being the home of the very exasperating âAsianâ restaurant wherein Chinese, Japanese and a couple Thai dishes are all offered on the same menu, in the same restaurant, none of it done particularly well. The rave from the NY Times on the wall confirms that the food here at Thai Coconut is amazing . I am hung up on their khanom jeep, the light delicate vegetable dumplings that Iâve never experienced outside of New York City. I know of no other place on Long Island where you can get a vegetable dumpling this light. Weâve tried all of the other dumplings too and they are all good. Also, the spring rolls, samosas and my favorite entrée is the penang curry which is fantastic. I ask for it âThai spicyâ and they make it Thai spicy! And they give additional hot pepper on the side. My husband enjoys the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodle. They also have coconut rice, which is such a treat, again especially on Long Island. This food takes me away. I would love to have their chef one night for a private dinner, making me all his favorite best Thai delicacies. I bet it would be amazing. He is capable of great food. However â and this is a big however â get here early as they are just constantly overwhelmed and under siege and the service is horrendous (appears to usually be just one waiter doing every single thing). There are only about eight tables and virtually no parking. I wish I lived nearby because take out would be the best way to go here.

The atmosphere and decor are different. The booths are spacious. We ordered a scorpion bowlâthat was fun. The appetizers were not badâboneless spare ribs bs and pork dumplings. But the sushi was a disappointment. It was dry and not appealing.

Read some reviews and decided to go in 2018 and have been going there since. First off, some reviews were questionable, such as comedy night. I inquired about this and they have NEVER had a comedy night.Anyways, my experience was excellent. Great food, especially the egg rolls which is almost a meal in itself! Suggest you share it with someone.Service was good, but avoid weekends as they are really busy.Definitely going back!
