I'm sure that their food is delicious if you eat meat. However, if you don't I would scratch this one off your list. The tofu is steamed and without any flavor--while I appreciate that they don't fry it in the lard they fry everything else in they could marinate it and bake it and it would be better. Also when they say do you want crispy or soft noodles, understand that the crispy noodles come from a can not a pan. They were very pleasant and courteous staff.

Best sushi in town. My wife and I love this place. My favorite roll is the Sakura roll. They actually have some real sushi with raw fish. A lot of places around here have the fusion stuff that are cooked. The staff here is always friendly. Great service. We eat here as often as we can!!

Our first of 2 nights in Visalia (7/22/18), we decided to order takeout from the Shanghai Chinese Restaurant based on reviews. We were VERY disappointed, and Iâm scratching my head on why this place is rated 4.5 âstarsâ.We ordered (take-out): Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, Fresh Vegetable chow mein, Hong Kong chow mein, and an order of fried wontons. White rice is NOT offered with either of the âmain dishesâ (like any other Chinese restaurant) and had to be ordered as an additional item ($4.50). I was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. We arrived at the restaurant at about the 20 minute mark. Order was not ready. I paid â and waited another 30 minutes before they went in back and quickly scooped-up our order. Not happy about that.We got back to our hotel, and dished-up the meals. The Kung Pao chicken was very good. The Fresh Vegetable chow mein was good â but it was NOT âfresh vegetablesâ. Think more along the lines of âChun Kingâ canned veggies. Definitely NOT fresh vegetables. The fried wontons were WAY over fried (nearly burnt) and hardly had any taste (other than burnt oil). The dipping sauce was supposed to be Sweet & Sour sauce â tasted more like a combination of alittle Sweet & Sour sauce and a lot of Szechuan sauce. The Mongolian Beef was awful. Instead of spicy & sweet beef, it tasted like boiled beef with brown gravy on it. Seriously. Awful. The Hong Kong chow mein (large chunks of veggies) was supposed to have pan fried noodles. What we got was a gloppy pile of boiled noodles that stuck together like gloppy over cooked spaghetti. Definitely NOT pan fried. If Iâm ever in Visalia again, I would NOT order from this restaurant.Literally the worst Chinese food Iâve had. Big thumbs down.

On the quest for a great bowl of Pho, I have been to Pho and Seafood about 4 times. I keep coming back because the place keeps delivering great food. Non descript ghetto fabulous location on the oval in Visalia. Plan on waiting 10-30 minutes for a table to get seated during peak times. I love the combo pho with beef and shrimp and fish. All of the right fixins to make it perfect. The fried calamari rings are a good favorite also. I haven't had the salt and pepper crab( crab tanks on the premises) but am told it is the best when in season to give it a try. Will keep coming back. Can't speak to all of the other dishes but based on the lines, few complaints are heard within these doors.

After a day of driving through Yosemite, we stopped here for a bite to eat before heading to the hotel. Service was friendly and quick. The food was good. We ate pad Thai (a little spicer than usual), fried rice, orange chicken and a spicy black bean chicken. I'd eat there again

We were staying in Visalia for a couple of nights while visiting the National Park and had a craving for Chinese Food. We ordered an appetiser and two entrees (with rice). The service was quick, the food delivered freshly cooked and piping hot and was delicious. We thought that we would eat everything but the servings are large so we asked for a "take out" box and enjoyed the leftovers the next night. Would eat here again if back in Visalia.

We recently visited this Japanese restaurant just to experience and taste the food and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the teppanyaki and it was not only prepared and cooked properly, it is comparable to Benihana restaurant with cheaper prices. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was good. It is one of the best places to eat in the Visalia area.

Last week I stopped at Davorn's Place for a business meeting. I was blown away on the delicious food and great service. Because of the first experience I returned with my family. Excellent food choices for vegetarians. Every dish so far has been excellent. Parking might be difficult but it's definitely worth the stop.

We stopped here on the way home from Sequoia and were not disappointed. The food was great, and it showed, the place was very busy, and a little patience required. Would definitely come here again. They rate the "spiceness" from 1-10, and in our experience a curry level 10 was flaming hot, while pad thai was OK even at highest setting.
