One doesn't always expect high-class Asian food in an average European city (and vice versa!) and dinner at Szechwan restaurant proved disappointing to my admittedly cosmopolitan palate. The menu is limited and the dishes are prepared with all manner of unacceptable short cuts. For example, the single fried rice dish had shrimps (OK tasting) and fried, chewy 'ribbe' - hardly what you'd want if you were expecting some semblance of yeung chow fried rice. And on and on. I was a bit surprised to be told this was the best Chinese restaurant in town.

This was the first Sushi restaurant in town, and to this day it still has the best sushi in Trondheim. Therefore, it is also not the cheapest sushi in town. But you get what you pay for. The chefs here are truly skilled, and my recommendation is to share a plate for 2 or 3 persons. My favorite is the Tempura Mixed, but if you're feeling fancy (and don't mind spending some extra money), go for the Omakase, and the chef will compose something creative based on whatever is the best ingredients at the time.If you just want to stuff yourself with as much food as possible, or would rather have your maki drowned in chili mayo - or don't really care for the seafood at all - then just go somewhere else. Trondheim has plenty of good all-you-can-eat sushi buffets to offer

Although it is always nice with an all you can eat buffet, the quality of the sushi is definitely not good. Somehow surprising recognizing that quite a few customers think this is superb quality....-it is not. It is a cheap, simple moneymaker. On the good side the service was ok and the location nice.

In trondheim there are a lot of all-you-can-eat sushi buffets, but this place singles itself out quite differently. For a fixed price you can order from the a la cart sushi menu as much as you want. It's basically all-you-can-eat but with full service and the sushi is made to order. Great quality and awesome service. I've eaten here twice in the last week and it certainly won't be the last time! Best sushi place in town? Possibly! :)

This place is simple, with no frills. You order your food at the counter, and it's delivered to your table. The menu has enough English on it for you to figure things out, although not everything is translated from Norwegian (or Thai). Our orders arrived quickly, and were really delicious. If you like Thai food, this is likely the best place in Trondheim to enjoy it!

We had a wonderful experience in this restaurant exactly tonight. We're celebrating our son's 3rd birthday and we had a last minute decision to eat out. It's 6:00pm, Friday and we didn't have reservation. Nordøst is always jampacked on weekend evenings so we're ready to be turned away. We were happily surprised that they accommodated us, asking even if we want a table inside. Since we have 3- and 7-year olds with us, we chose an outdoor table. There were heaters so it wasn't cold and there' a space in front for my kids to walk in case they get restless. The service staff were prompt, friendly, and nice. The food didn't take long. They were very delicious (spareribs, steamed mussels, gyoza & steamed buns), served in their right temperatures and textures, and with very nice presentation. Our cocktails were really refreshing. The waiter came to ask if we liked our food and then complimented my toddler for eating his mussels with gusto! The bill came fast when we asked for it and and they gladly gave us a take-home box for our leftovers. These small touches always make their very delicious food become an even better dining experience.

Sushime has the best Sushi in Trondheim. The environment is lovely - with a calm athmosphere. The sushi is very good, exciting and unique. Staff is nice and helpful with allergies. Would especially recommend the lunchplate. If you are a group of friends you can easily combine it and taste many different makis. Bonus for quick deliverance and good prices.
