One of the best buffets we have been too. The bad news is that it is on the expensive side but, just for the sushi & sashimi alone may be worth it. They have some great variety...definitely a few steps above the normal buffet. Worth a visit!Hi ! We appreciate for your kind grading on us. I found myself on Cedar Lane in Teaneck at lunchtime and out of the many interesting and eclectic restaurant choices available there, on a whim decided to try Taipei Noodle House. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is divided into two sections, one with tables and booths and the other with a sushi bar. The menu is very extensive with sections of Vietnamese and Japanese selections included. My wife and I split two dishes, ginger chicken with string beans and Vietnamese tofu curry with vegetables, both of which were very good. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and just the right touch of spice was included (one can ask for increase or decrease, though we did not). The service was friendly and efficient. If I am in the area again, I would certainly return to try some of the other dishes (particularly the noodles which are homemade).

The menu options and presentation in the menu are terrific. Unfortunately "terrific" doesn't apply to the execution. Our appetizers were cold. Not warm. Cold. The steak I ordered medium rare. My dinner came about seven minutes after everyone else's in our party. When it came, it was just above raw. And also cold. Forget sizzling. Cold. When the others in my party urged me to send it back, I passed, because I didn't want them to wait any longer. So I hated an expensive dinner. And the service? Atrocious. We didn't get a waitress or waiter to our table for almost an hour. I complained where is the waitress? She came right over with an extreme attitude. Couldn't crack a smile and never came over to ask if everything was ok. Will never come back. Very, very disappointed.

I got there shortly before closing. They took my order, and got me the food 10 minutes later. Food was okay, portions were reasonable, prices were average. For those into kosher Chinese, it totally does the job. The lunch specials are good value, the other combination meals are a rip off, buy each component individually, you get more food for less money.

This place is a favorite. The sushi is always fresh and very tasty. With the conveyor belt for sushi, it is also a quick opinion. The sushi on the belt is just as fresh as if you order. Service is friendly and prompt. With the recent remodel, they added private rooms which seat 4 to 14. What a fun place to have a small gathering.

Located just off of Cedar Lane, Empire Hunan offers a nice experience in Chinese and Japanese food. Prices are moderate, service was friendly and the food tasted great. BYOB, there is a liquor store across the street. Parking is on Cedar Lane, metered, or on side streets, no meters.

I haven't even gotten a chance to delve into the ramen section or hot pot section of the menu as I tend to come here solely for the tapas! Entire wait staff as well as the chef is Japanese. Big points in my book. I usually sit at the bar on the corner to see all of the "Action" behind the grill. Many favorites here. Both the Soft Shell Crab salad and Smoked Duck and Avocado salads are amazing. The carrot-ginger dressing is handmade and delicious! The #1 thing I come for is the Eihire - Dried Ray. This is a dried, then grilled piece of skate wing. Accompanied by a dab of Kewpie mayo. It's to die for. And a great munchie to compliment a few brewskis. Other must haves include Shishamo fish - grilled. Maine Uni Sashimi. Magret grilled Duck breast, Berkshire Pork Belly, Red Ebi, Momo, Kawa and a surprise to me - Japanese Pork Sausage. Limited parking in the back. Open later than most spots in Bergen County! Closed mondays. Things look cheap at first, but next thing you know, you're 6 dishes deep and things add up! You've been forewarned! haha Enjoy!

Came here with friends. First Thai restaurant in Bergen County. Very nice atmosphere. A lot of seating too. We had Pad Thai. Very good but seemed a little oily. We also had the massaman curry which was flavorful and plentiful. It was really good. Friends had a beef in gravy dish that they loved. Slices of beef that were tender. The service was great. Four dishes with tax and tip was $80. Tip: Parking is street parking with meters. Tip: takes reservations.

They make tofu-based chicken, beef, fish dishes, all well-made. Good noodle and soup dishes. Well-priced. A local watering-hole, often crowded.
