At Sakuramen you can choose from traditional Japanese ramen with chashu or a Korean version with bulgogi. I had the Japanese mild tonkotsu ramen and loved it.

The restaurant is nicely decorated. It was a packed Friday night when we walked in but got our table not long ago after we arrived. The cocktails were not my favorite. Definitely not a place for drinks. The iced tamarind juice is refreshing, reminds me of home. Food favorites:Fried Pig ears (spicy)Crispy Jerky PorkChicken Thigh SkewersKUA KHAO JAEW BONG (Chili fried rice)Worst experience: The server is the worst weâve ever had! The food took awhile and she always had an attitude whenever we ask for something. She put a plate of entree on top of my plate that I was eating on. When I asked for a new plate, she just gave me a new one without apologizing for what she did. When we asked for the check, she said âI canât give you the check unless I clear the table firstâ which we didnât care though we donât understand the reason for that. My friend who paid tipped her $5.(Yep, it was pretty small but for the service we got we think it was suffice.) So while we were waiting for our friend to get back from the bathroom this server comes in the table, read the receipt and said âdid I do something wrong?â my friendâs bf explained why and she said âbut $5?! thatâs the best you can do? $5?!â saying this to us with a very nasty tone and even said âweâre busyâ as an excuse. After that, my friend and I weâre standing at the door waiting for the guys and she approached us again asking if she did something wrong, my friend explained to her again and she just kept saying âI did that!â when she never did. She then said to us âSo does that make you powerful giving a $5 tip?â with a very threatening tone. I wasnât sure what she said next because the guys came back and started to talk to the manager about the incident. The manager didnât really do anything and had to cut the conversation because another customer had to speak to her about something else. We could definitely find a place that has better food with way better service than this. So we would never come back.P.S. Everybody else were nice! Only this particular server (I wished I remembered her name) ruined our whole night.

Comfortable, medium priced hibachi grille. The usual flare for hibachi grilles with a bit extra flare. The chefs are entertaining and accommodating. The menu is as expected except the spicy entrees are spicy for real. All selections pair well with the extravagant drink menu. The Fire Dragon thing is tasty (you only need one and it easily serves two alcoholics proficiently). Make a reservation. There's always a wait (well worth it though). Hint: For seniors or handicapped, look for the elevator. The steps can be challenging.

Located at the bottom of the Bennington Apartments complex. I had the Ikko Dragon roll and Spider roll ($29.66 after taxes). One good thing was they didn't drown the rolls in sauce. However, the eel itself was a little bland and tasteless. The soft shell crab was fried okay (didn't really have the fresh fried taste). The meat wasn't as sweet as I had hoped. The portion size was fine. I was definitely full after the meal. One nice touch is that they give you a piece of watermelon and orange at the end of your meal. A lot of restaurants don't do this anymore and it was a welcomed touch.Service was excellent and they were very attentive. There are quite a few workers there for dinner service so I would expect it as so. The decor was nice and they have outside seating. They also have a minimum $10 charge for cc use.Overall the food was decent and I'd like to come back to try their sashimi. I would recommend this place.

Depending upon where you are coming from in downtown Silver Spring, there is a bit of a climb to reach this restaurant. However, once you reach the restaurant everything levels off for you. This restaurant is very accessible with tables spread out and two his/her accessible restrooms. We all had Pho Tai and Pho Tai, Nam, Gan, Sach which was so delicious and served hot, which we appreciated. We also ordered Thai Iced Tea and Iced Coffee with condensed milk. This restaurant also serves beer and wine. We had great service and enjoyed the ambiance in the restaurant especially the photographs on the walls.

First time here! ordered the Buda Bowl with chicken and loved it. Husband ordered Bibimbap and loved it as well, he complains everywhere he goes, did not complain here.Loved their natural teas as well. Not a lot of seating [maybe 20 people tops], but you can always take your food to go! Will go back again!

We've eaten here twice and they have an expansive sushi menu however much of the choices are too "busy"- trying too hard to be unique and the flavors are a bit overkill. We prefer a simpler choice of sushi where you can still taste the fish. Despite this it's a lively place and we enjoyed ourselves.

Welcome to Kin Da where you can indulge. We are a Thai and Sushi themed restaurant with delicious food, good service at a reasonable price.
Wonderful food, especially the fish in panang sauce--I could bathe in that stuff! My husband loves the cashew chicken, extra spicy! Eating in is very pleasant--nice service and always fun to run into people you know from the neighborhood. Carryout is great too--earth-friendly containers, and the food travels pretty well, as long as you choose something that's not breaded.

Decided to have an early dinner after seeing a movie at AFI. Kao Thai is across Colesville and a short walk from the Silver Spring Metro stop. They were almost empty when we arrived at 4 PM, but a stream of customers started shortly after. Conversation was easy the whole time we were there. Both the Yum WoonSen and Drunken Noodles (with chicken) were very good. At the spicy level, the drunken noodles had the right amount of heat that provided balance to the plate. Service was good. We will return to try other dishes so we can compare their food to the other Thai reswtaurants in the Silver Spring and Wheaton area.

Mandalay has been one of our favorite restaurants for 15 plus years when it started in the College Park Donut Shop before it moved to Silver Spring.Family run..food consistently great and nice portions.Good Service. Full bar We always start with a green mango salad. I love the yellow beans with scallions and rice. My husband gets their famous wide noodle dish...similar to chow fung with chicken. Leftovers are carried home to be enjoyed a second timr.Fun to have each person try something different so you can share and try new dishes@ Dessert is a must..Shweji..a Burmese speciality cream of wheat, raisins, coconut milk..served warm.Put this on your Must try list when in the DC /Silver Spring/ Montgomery county area. You won't be sorry!! We came from DE to.go since we were in the area! They recently opened up a burmese salad place in DC on Wisconsin and M Street.
