Tasty food that was expertly prepared in front of us. I would recommend the soft shell crab - which was an entree. There was only a party of two of us but staff included us on a table with others which was fine. Highly recommend.

Enjoy the Indian Culinary Heritage . Many Flavours of India
Probably ok if you just want an Indian takeaway meal, but donât expect much for in-house dining, was a joke! You couldnât get your teeth into the one and only bhaji that was offered up as an entree! The main was okay, but we wonât be back.

You can sample a true Thai adventure, courtesy of your taste buds, right here in the heart of Surfers Paradise at Cocohut Taste of Thailand. As the name suggested, We bring a taste of thailand to you.
Excellent food and good value for money.Their hotpot is the best i have had anywhere. I also recommend their garlic and pepper stirfry with chicken.Prices are just above reasonable.A family of five can eat under hundred dollar mark. This place is also excellent value for money with their lunch deals.Highly recommended.

Welcome to 'SHINOBI' Japanese Yakitori restaurant located in the heart of the Gold Coast. Visit us and Enjoy authentic Japanese Yakitori taste!!
After finding this restaurant down a little arcade we sat down to be greeted by two of the loveliest smiling waitresses. We ordered a number of yakitoriâs and all were excellent (we went back for seconds on the chicken skin and pork belly and lotus chips), food was fantastic. Restaurant is byo wine only and a cooler bag is provided. Beer on tap and in bottles available. As we were about to leave one of the waitresses presented our daughter with two beautiful origami done with stunning traditional Japanese paper. Already planning our next visit.

What an amazing night our group of 16 had at Kookoo Teppanyaki bar for my daughters 18th birthday dinner. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food is even better not to mention the $10 cocktails which we all loved. I Highly recommend the Fruit Tingle, Ice Cream Baileys, Pina Colada and The Long Weekend Cocktails. The price I paid for meals and drinks was crazy cheap considering we all walked out with full tummies and a little tipsy Would definitely recommend Kookoo for the dining experience and price

Staying in house so was a no brainer. Can see why this place is the number one rated Thai restaurant in the area. From the decor, good ambience, the friendly staff to the delicious food.Heat was at the hotter end which I really enjoyed. Can recommend the Red Curry Duck.BYO means you can have a good wine and not be charged exorbitantly.Enjoyed the night, would most definitely return.

Asian fusion dining
Nice enough neighbourhood restaurant. The salads we ordered were a bit average - basically the same thing but with baby octopus arranged around one and slightly overcooked deep fried haloumi on the other. The stand out dish was the Cape Byron beef rib which was delicious. The desserts were nice enough, but it was an extremely limited menu. There are no non-alcoholic drinks appearing on any menu which is pretty poor, but the bar person made me a good enough virgin mojito on request. The other thing was we were jammed in the front window with another table for two - forced to sit side by side. There was only room for one table in that window guys. The service was very friendly and attentive, but if I was in Surfers again I would probably check out some other option.

My partner and I decided to try this place based on their whisky selection, the magic Bar man had an extensive knowledge and was generous (except they ran out of watermelon foam for my cocktail lol) then we were taken to our table that has an exquisite Japanese ambience and the service was impeccable. We chose the set menu to have a try of everything and there wasnât one part f the entire meal we could fault! The sashimi, the Yakitori skewers, even the Brussels sprouts were amazing but the highlight was the pork belly... that was a food experience we shall never forget!!Dear Tashajane5,Thank you for sharing your recent experience at Yamagen Japanese. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and we are pleased to hear you had an exquisite experience and we were able to create an unforgettale night for you. We hope to welcome you back to Yamagen Japanese again for yet another fantastic experience.Thank you and regards,Yamagen Japanese
