My first experience at Alessi was exquisite, and unforgettable. The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was outstanding, and the staff were polite. I came down with 6 other people, and neither of us had to wait long for our starters and mains to arrive. If anyone asks me for any recommendations for Indian restaurants, I'd definitely mention Alessi.

Booked a table for 2 at 7.00pm on Saturday night.Arrived at 19.00 and were left standing in the doorway, eventually we sat down at our table and had to wait another 15 minutes to order drinks and our food.Starters came at 7.45 and were alright, we had the gyoza platter which consisted of 3x duck, chicken, prawn, vegetable. By this time the restaurant had around 15 other diners, it wasn't even half full yet service was all over the place and slow. Our mains didn't arrive until 8.30 and by this time other tables around us who came after had their mains. I ordered the roast pork ramen and was disappointed, it was more like sweetcorn soup and not authentic. My partner had the deep fried bento box which had two salads including one with heinz salad cream on!We'd had enough by now and wanted the bill so we asked the waitress if we could pay to which she said yes, cue 30 seconds later the same waitress coming to our table to ask if we'd had our mains yet....sigh.I'm rating you as a 2* because the lock on the disabled / ladies toilet does not work which led to quite an embarrassing situation. On the whole not a good experience, service bad and the food needs improvement.

Located in Biddulph High Street, we at Roti Restaurant specialise in creating high-quality traditional and contemporary Indian dishes. All our food is prepared with love and enthusiasm to provide you with delicious meals and a memorable dining experience
Always been very impressed with both the food and the service at Roti and our tips reflect this, however after tonight's visit with mediocre food and below standard service it's unfortunate that I have to leave this review, one of your 'icing on the cakes' is how you offer complimentary drinks I understand that these are exactly that "Complimentary" but to be sort of offered and then the waiter decided "nah" is a bit poor then having to ask for my change back after you obviously thought it was a tip is again poor.Your customers support you and undoubtedly like both myself and my Wife will be forthcoming with gratuities if they receive a good service to have a service that was far under par from any other meals we have had a Roti then having to ask for our change back has taken the shine off your previously exemplary record.Your still probably the best eatery in Biddulph don't stop doing the little things that have given you that accolade slip.

Visited twice in the space of a week, first as part of a group of 30. Wasnât sure of what to have, so the manager recommended a dish based on my tastes. The food was excellent, despite the large numbers. Returned with family and we all had a wonderful experience. Will definitely return.

This is our second visit to Basmati, for a meeting between old work colleagues, travelling from all over Staffordshire and as far as mid Wales so good food, and ease of parking is key.We tend to have the buffet at £14.95, as you get poppadoms, a starter, a main, of which there is a wide selection, a side of either naan or rice. The food is of great quality, and comes piping hot. The staff are very easy going and don't rush you between courses.Absolutely no complaints, great service, great food and good to meet old friends.Highly recommended.

I'm amazed by all the good reviews this place gets and can only put it down to it being somewhat unique.Never have i known such ridiculously small portion sizes. The concept is simple you order several starters and mains to get a wider range of foods and tastes as you would normally get. However, nothing quite works... the waiter does even inform you of which dish is which.Left still feeling hungary which ultimately made it feel like an expensive mealDear thepoortable, Thank you for taking your time to write this review, I am sorry You feel that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. As you mentioned in your review, the Thalii is a tapas style platter which is made up of smaller portion sizes of starters and mains allowing for our diners to try out a larger variety of dishes. We recommend that the small and medium options are both individual Thaliiâs and a large could be shared by 2 people. Additions can be made to your platter at anytime if more dishes are required. We hope that you will give us another chance now that the concept is abit more clear, please call us and ask for a member of management, we would be more than happy to see you again. Many ThanksThe Thalii Team

First time trying here for my Son's 14th Birthday with my Partner. We went on recommendation that it is the Top Trip Advisor restaurant in Stoke. Absolutely correct From our arrival with the Staff opening the door to our departure with the same, we can not commend their attentive service enough. Lovely staff. The food is excellent. So many starters, main courses and selection of puddings. Free soft drinks in pint glasses. Take your own alcoholic drinks. Food very tasty from starters to mains to puddings. Highly recommend and this will be our new favourite Indian Buffet Restaurant
