Ate here on a Wednesday night when there was live Jazz and it was fun. The service was very attentive at first, almost felt rushed but when we mentioned we were in no hurry and the restaurant filled it was less so. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone. Sushi looked very good and presented beautifully. We opted for Peking duck buns, cold soba, lettuce wraps and the seafood hotpot which was more than enough for 2. Glass of wine and sorbet only set us back $77 before tip. The acoustics in the room are not great so it gets loud when full but if you dine early or want to sit on the patio which overlooks the post road then no problem.

When we moved up from New York we were not happy with the Cheese food (except Little Kitchen ....for dining) . Shanghai Gourmet was found by accident and it is fantastic and get my drift .;..this is 'soul food' for my group of people. The shanghai noodle soup is superb. The Chicken with cashews, Chicken with black bean sauce is unreal, The egg roles are nit the factory made that you have in so many Chinese. Excellent dumplings and the soups ..5*.Everything we have tried here is wonderful. If you eat there...no atmosphere and people constantly getting their orders. Order takeout and you will be very surprised.

Visited on November 24, 2017 at 1:20 PM. Sushi was good, cut rather thin and elongated, like a thin rectangle, but good. Minimal rice under the sushi, different than most places, most places generous with the underlying white rice. Staff attentive. Parking on nearby side streets for free.

Well, they seem to have fixed their reservation issue, because we were seated immediately. The menu is vast, eclectic and expansive (not expensive, expansive). If you're a Panda Express kind of person, this isn't the place for you. This is real, authentic Asian food with a flair. Not overly pricey and certainly not pretentious, but so, so good!!! Start with Chengdu Dumplings, Dan Dan Noodles and some scallion pancakes. Then move on to Salt and pepper shrimp and Mongolian Beef, plus other delights, including some regular classics. Whatever you do, SHARE...it's much more fun that way. And try something new every time you go, which will be often once you've been there once. Service is friendly but slow, but once you order, the food comes quickly. Enjoy this place and savor it (the bartender is a great guy too). Check it out.

Having lived in Asia for many years, Chinese cuisine is a long-standing favorite. My standards may well be higher than most, accustomed to great Chinese food in so many countries in Asia, Canada, US, etc. I used to patronize Tiger Bowl often, although it was mediocre then, but had not dined here in several years. The food has seriously declined in quality. Refried leftover egg roll burned on the bottom. The wontons in the wonton soup are the cheapest quality - I've had better at little "hole-in-the-wall" cheap-Chinese outlets. The rice is not fine quality, and the pork fried rice had one little snippet of pork in it. Plenty of cashews sprinkled over the cashew-nut chicken, but it was mostly celery. My companion's meal was likewise unsatisfactory, four small shrimp buried in a pile of celery & bok choy. The sauces are limited & flavorless. Extremely disappointing. The service used to be pleasant, but now rude in the extreme. I won't return, and neither will my friend, who likewise patronized this place regularly. Despite the scarcity of Chinese restaurants now, this is a place to avoid.

I hesitate to share how wonderful this restaurant is because it is small and I may find it hard to get a table. The menu offers some delicious small plate options, as well as Pho choices and Laksha choices. We had the crispy Vietnamese spring rolls to start - so delicious. I had Pho Tai and my husband had Laksha. Both choices were absolutely delicious. For dessert we shared fried bananas with homemade ginger ice cream that was absolutely amazing. The food is very reasonably priced and the restaurant has a cool, casual vibe. Great for take-out, too. Try it, but leave a table open for me!

I had 2 less than great lunches at Kiraku about 18 mos ago and was reluctant to revisit but my wife encouraged me to try again for dinner. BIG improvement. The Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box was delicious as was my wife's Lo Mein. Cordial, prompt service in a friendly environment.

I took my God Daughter, who attends Sacred Heart, to Wild Rice for lunch today. I ordered Sushi, she Miso Soup, Ginger Salad and Scallion pancakes. My lunch dish was delicious, the sushi very fresh and delicious. Her food was also delicious with one caveat. Please instruct your staff who prepares the salad to cut the greens smaller and more thoroughly. She literally found an 8 inch length of lettuce that had been stabbed at multiple times. I will definitely return when back in Fairfield.

We took the kids and grandkids for Christmas Eve dinner. We had great service, wonderful appetizers and plenty of drinks for the adults. The little kids really enjoyed the variety. The adults had sushi, and different entrées.Everything was good.

Asian cuisine, including soul food and ramen. Does lunch, dinner, and drinks, as well as take-out. Open from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
Weâve been talking about trying this place for the longest time but several times before we made an attempt only to change our minds when we were confronted with long lines. The other day, we passed the restaurant and saw there were no lines so we stopped. We were seated at tables with stool-chairs which were really close together (not a favorite of mine) but aside from that, service was good and the food quite tasty. We ordered a ramen noodle dish and the pork rolls, they were both really good. The place seems to be a favorite of the younger crowd, lots of students from the local university when we were there.
