I spent a weekend in Capitola, and my dinner at My Thai Beach was the best of my stay. After experiencing other restaurants on the Esplanade, which were very crowded and loud on the weekend nights, and had what seemed to be similar menus, it was refreshing to walk into the quiet atmosphere of this restaurant and have some variety on the menu. There were not near as many patrons here, and I have no idea why, because the food was delicious. I particularly liked the chicken satay with peanut sauce. They also make fun bubble teas, I had the banana flavored tea and it was sweet enough to serve as dessert. Friendly service, and a lovely oceanside location.

We tend to visit at least one sushi restaurant wherever we travel since my wife is a sushi fanatic. Nice large pieces of fresh fish and BIG rolls. They don't press the rolls tight, like most sushi places, which may be part of the reason they look so large and tend to fall apart, but they are very good. This is a real "mom and pop" restaurant with no fancy décor, just good food. Prices are reasonable by sushi standards. Definitely worth visiting.

Thai Basil offers a casual atmosphere and delicious food. I have a Thai friend who ordered take-out for us from this restaurant and every dish was delicious and complex. In person I've had the salmon panang a couple times and its richness outshines the other Thai food places I've been to. Don't put on your sport coat but do patronize this wonderful family run operation.

This place is so quaint! It has a beautiful garden upon entering and an extensive collection of beautiful artifacts inside. The food was even better. Fresh, clean and very very good! The bathroom was spotless! I loved the variety and authenticity. You won't be disappointed!
This placed used to be "Golden Buddha", and as of this writing there is still a Trip Advisor review page under that name. However, it is under new management and has gone completely downhill. We came for lunch and ordered a combination plate, featuring Chow Mein (overcooked noodles, mushy chicken), Sweet and Sour Pork (deep-fried, dried-out lumps of meat-like product in a salty sauce), Fried Rice (also mushy), Egg Roll (tasting of rancid fat) and, oh yes, halfway decent Hot and Sour Soup. The servings were huge, but what difference does that make when the food is nearly indelible? And they charged for hot tea. This was, without question, the worst Chinese meal we have ever had. Out of politeness, or perhaps pity, we took the uneaten portions home in a box, but they didn't make it into the house. There were no reviews on Trip Advisor, but there were glowing reviews on Yelp. This brings home to us the Achilles Heel of review sites: the system can be gamed. I hope Trip Advisor continues to do a good job of filtering out bogus reviews. IP detection, maybe?

This is our favorite sushi restaurant. We always enjoy their specialty rolls, they're a little pricey but well worth it. My favorite is their organic mixed greens salad. I love to support this restaurant because of the fact that they support the fish that is on Monterey's Fish Watch list.

I've eaten at this restaurant for years and I really enjoy knowing that I have the option of eating somewhere where the food is clean, healthy and organic. In a world where most restaurants add so much unhealthy ingredients to their food, It feels good knowing that I'm putting something healthy in my body. Their food is very tasty and lots of options to choose from, including some really delicious pastas, soups, vegetables and salads. Yes, its a little on the pricy side, but well worth it knowing your putting something good in your body. Enjoy!

I visited this restaurant with friends on a Saturday for lunch. Great food, and the portions are huge. For those with smaller appetites, itâs big enough for two. I really liked my yellow curry with shrimp! All the appetizers were excellent too. Definitely a great place to go, especially for large groups to share.

Went with a friend to check it out for a group that gathers frequently for lunch. We were not disappointed. This is a charming restaurant in an excellent location close to Capitola Village. It also has decent parking - challenge in the Village. Both of us had the Bento Box lunches. Good choices and reasonably priced. The gyoza was tasty and the sashimi was delectably fresh. I was a little disappointed they charged me extra for brown rice. The service was pleasant and attentive. I will return again and feel this is a good bargain.

Went for lunch and it was hard to choose from all the yummy sounding dishes.I selected Singapore Noodle with curry & chicken. Delicious and finished every bite as did my friend. Another person ordered Pad Thai and was delicious. Service was quick & friendly.
