Our restaurant spans a smart indoor dining area, a charming glass conservatory and an outdoor terrace that offers panoramic views of the Himalayas.
During our stay at Clarkes (another Oberoi member) the staff there helped us book a table at Wildflowers for my wife's birthday. The moment we entered the hotel, a gentleman introducing himself as Ankush asked us how we could be helped. When we said we had a reservation, he immediately recognised, and as if by magic a bouquet of fresh flowers appeared. While we were ordering, Ankush and his team came over and presented us with a gift, apologising that they couldn't get anything elaborate as it was short notice. As if that wasn't enough, there was a lovely cake, on the house! All for two people from another hotel who had come for lunch. Non-guests. This is exemplary service where staff go above and beyond to make you feel special (perhaps Jai Mahal Palace can attempt to be half as good - we had a disappointing experience couple of months ago). Thanks a lot Ankush and team, you made a special day all the more memorable. When we later were expressing our gratitude, Ankush said that he wants every guest leaving the door to be an ambassador. Well, here are two!

Strategically located on the Ridge in Shimla, Ashiana Restaurant is always very busy, especially during the tourist season. The waiters are a harried lot, but they do try their best, and given that this is govt. undertaking, that is meant as a compliment.Service is fairly prompt and the snacks of an above average quality. Seating spaces are hard to find during peak hours and if you are a large party, do try and make an advance reservation. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the view from here covers the whole expanse of the Ridge and beyond, so really, it should be on your Shimla bucket list.

Low quality in Deluxe thaili, Paneer gravy was pure water. Quantity of Chapati and rice is too low. U would have to order more. Not good at all

Taking inspiration from all the culinary influences the town of Shimla has seen through the century - the British dominance and the Chinese influence within the core Indian fabric - Eighteen71 romances these cuisines, bringing about their choicest best. H
We travelled independently ( via Citrus Travel) who arranged this hotel ( and guide) It was our second scheduled stop of our mini ' golden triangle tour' and having stayed at 4 different hotels this was the best. The room was excellent, the staff were great and the selection of food was the best . We had a full menu to choose from unlike the other hotels who provided a buffet service. The food and service at other hotels was for the most part very good but to have an option from a proper menu made the experience that bit better.Dear Guest, thanks for dining with us at Eighteen71. We are delighted that you enjoyed the food and the service. Hope to see you again soon!

Great food & coffee to keep you going until its time for wine. And if you do lose track of time the music and magical views of the hills are all to blame!
The place is just above average in actual but since it is the only place on Mall Road in Shimla which gives you the combination of food, alcohol and live singing. Price is on the higher side comparing to the service but is only worth during the evenings not in the day. Hi there, thanks for your visit to the cafe. Glad you liked it! As for the prices, we assure you that we are priced at par with other restaurants on the Mall and in fact for the kind of ambience and quality of food we deliver - we truly offer value for money. Hope you will visit us again and give us a chance to change your perception!
