Food wise the place is as good or average as every other Chinese take out in lafayette. But if it comes to customer service - this place rases the bar.Extremely friendly owner and wife. Good conversations, and nearly no uncharges for menu changes.Thats the reason why we will come again.

We really liked it. Everything seemed fresh and the owner is so nice and sweet. It almost felt as if you were eating in their living room! Ha! The decor is very authentic. Great food presentation. Very much like a restaurant setting you'd find in mainland china. Had no idea such an authentic place in Lafayette existed! It's BYOB as well :)

Been to this restaurant many times in the past two years. It is part of a Texas Vietnam chain and the food was pretty good. Seems now that he more I go... the worse it gets. It's like they don't care too much about the quality anymore. My last visit was my last visit. The pho was nasty. I eat a lot of pho in a lot of restaurants in a lot of towns in my travels. Pho is good "comfort soup". The pho I was served yesterday at Pho Saigon was really bad. Musty flavors, mushy beef, and the noodles had an odd taste. There are better choices in Lafayette.

Tsunami is Lafayette's culinary escape. It opened in 2000 in the historic downtown arts and entertainment district. It fancies itself as the hippest eatery in the 337. LA flare with southern care!
Arrived a bit earlier than our reservation, but was seated promptly. Ambience is nice. You can sit at the counter and watch sushi being made. After ordering edamame, we ordered a mix of raw and cooked sushi. My son loves raw sushi and ate it all. I like cooked sushi (sea bass roll) and it was good and flavorful. I tried a mojito-like drink with my meal, but only drank half of it as it was too muddled to drink (floating mint and lemon seeds). Great presentation of all foods, especially as this was a birthday dinner for a friend. Special dessert for the birthday guy. My dessert was a Japanese take on bread pudding and it was delicious. Great staff and service! Will visit again.

Hot Food Express sells a weird cajun/asian fusion. If you want it, its likely on the menu. I tried numerous items and everything was delicious. Their motto on the chalk board is something like 'We neither sell nor serve any frozen crap' or something like that. Eat here when you get the chance simply because it is great food passionately prepared. Only issue I can think of is that their burgers are 1 pounders, and thats a little big, even for me. But take a buddy and split the burger, not only will you both be full but you will have a burger buddy for life. Love this place.

This was one of my favorite restaurant in lafayette, La. Curry dishes are great. But my last visit has completely discourged me from going back. I went to meet my wife and kids for lunch. We were seated and our orders were taken very quickly. I only have an hour for lunch. We sat for 50 minutes waiting on food before i had to get up and leave. I had no lunch and had the server box our food when done and sent back with my wife. After i left she wanted an additional 15 mins. The Waitress apologized, but the manager never came out to apologize. I usually eat here multiple times a week but i think i'll else were from now on. Restaurants need to relieve customer service is everything. It take one bad experience to turn a way a repeating customer.

We stopped by on a whim and decided to try the menu. The atmosphere was wonderful wooden dark colors and open areas. The food was good. I had the sizzling steak and my sister had the lomein noodles. Good flavors. We also had the special drinks of the day. The jalapeno cucumber was light and refreshing. The strawberry basil was the average bottled strawberry daiquiri mix with some basil leaves crushed in. The fried rice in the pineapple drew our attention every time it went by and made us wish we had ordered that. Will probably have to visit once more for that.

Table for one, late lunch, weekday. Busy, but not as crowded as the lunch rush.I was greeted and seated immediately upon walking in the door. My waiter promptly appeared at my table. I was surprised that the "bo kho" (Vietnamese beef stew) is no longer available. However, the waiter pointed me to the "bun bo hue" (Vietnamese beef soup with thick rice noodles). It is similar to "pho". The difference is that "bun bo hue" has lemongrass and red chiles whereas "pho" does not. When it arrived, the "bun bo hue" looked fantastic (oops, forgot to take a picture) and the taste was incredible. The beef was sliced ever so thinly, the pork was soft, the noodles were so thick that I had no difficult using chop sticks. It was fantastic! As usual, this restaurant was spotless and everybody was smiling (wait staff and diners, alike). The price was reasonable for lunch on this side of town.
has a very good take-out menu at the restaurant it has a small buffet, they only put out enough food in small batches, and it is fresher than letting it sit in the pans.
