Spoilt for choice with Chinese food in Wootton Bassett I have no choice than to rotate which ones I go to.Got my usual set meal and got the usual high quality and consistent food. Can't say any more than that. It is brilliant and consistent and as usual, I will be back.

Starters, mains and a drink for under £20 was great value. Good service at a very popular place. Just a shame that the vegetable pad Thai which we were told had tofu in didnât. Will be back.

This was a mixed experience . . . . some of the food was excellent and some was just OK. We had king prawns and Himalayan pork ribs to start. King prawns should be succulent and juicy if they're cooked properly. Unfortunately these weren't, they were slightly overcooked and therefore too dry. On the other hand, the ribs were very nice. For mains we had Everest lamb and Himalayan chicken. The lamb was as nice as I could have hoped for. The chicken was very tasty but a bit too dry for our taste.We ate in the first floor dining area, and we felt that the decor was rather cold, bland, not particularly welcoming. It wasn't an environment that made me feel that I would want to eat there again. To make things worse, the continual sound of cars driving over a loose manhole cover became irritating. (I know that's beyond the restaurant's control, and it may have been be fixed by now). We will go back there again because the food was good enough to make us want to try more. I have a feeling that there is a lot more on the menu that I will like a lot.Hi Mike Graham,First of all, thanks for visiting us and trying our food. We are part of old town culture and as you mentioned we alone do not control the environment. Hopefully, everything grows with you if you do revisit! We ate here last night. Weâve had many take aways and the service is always prompt and food good so we decided to try the restaurantThe place is like most Indian restaurants Iâve eaten at. The man who served us was slightly humourless but the service prompt and attentive. We started with popadoms and all the sides which was good. Then I had Pakora which was really greasy and my partner had garlic king prawn which did what it said on the tin. For main I had duck in a masala sauce. The duck really didnât work. Now know why I always stick to chicken. But you donât know unless you try. My partner had meat thali which he described as very average. So it was fine and we will continue to use the take out. But probably now eat there again. Not bad but just not great. Plus the toilets were very cold and a bit grubby and whole experience was not helped by the fact we had a table of people right next to us who kept burping very loudly. Not the restaurants fault I get. But pretty off putting for a nice dining experience.

Great tasting authentic Thai food, probably the best Ivectasted outside Thailand. The lunchtime set menu for £7.50 represents fabulous value. I have the vegetarian option so if you want tofu and vegetables you need to say so and it's an extra £1. That's not a problem but it would help if it said so somewhere rather than finding out by trial and error. Flavours and portion sizes do seem to fluctuate from time to time bug I've not had a poor meal there in 6-8 visits over the past 2 years.

We were here as 2 couples, a friendly greeting on arrival and a nice big round table for the 4 of us, so plenty of space. It doesn't feel cramped up here, so that was nice. The decor is neutral and we loved all the gorgeous chandeliers! The service was excellent, staff were all really friendly and helpful and ordering was very easy. Lots of menu choice, 3 of the 4 of us went for the special - lamb & pumpkin curry, this was absolutely delicious and can really recommend this dish which we had with rice and a couple of side dishes that were recommended by our waiter. The toilet facilities are near the services entrance, so that's a bit odd, only one female loo which was snug - but you're not here for that....You're not rushed either, plenty of staff around - no waiting for service, and they constantly check everything is ok with you but not ott. We all enjoyed our evening and we will be returning here and looking forward to the next visit already! Wonder what the next special might be Go try the lamb & pumpkin curry.... which is also available with an alternative to the lamb.... mmmm amazing!

My wife and I decided to give this restaurant a try having moved into the area recently. The previous reviews on TripAdvisor and the high ranking indicated we were in for a real treat, and our new local indian restaurant.The decor is lovely, but other than that it was all rather average really. Our starters were okay (mixed tandoori and a chicken tikka), but not as nice as most. Our main course were a bit of a mixed experience, my curry was very good indeed, but my wifeâs shashlick just consisted of a large chicken tikka starter, no sizzling plate or skillet, just bland with some fried onions.The service was very slow, no smiles, no asking if the meal was okay, just the bare minimum.Sadly I donât think weâll return, just not quite good enough really. Not cheap either.

I canât recommend Orietal Aroma enough, best food Iâve eaten in years, so much choice, love the vegan options, tastes delicious, fantastic service and James is an excellent host and all round lovely person! I look forward to visiting Swindon so I can eat here, great evening out and plenty of entertainment! Look forward to seeing you soon!

Very cold in the restaurant, hair in food, not given menus at the start and weird lighting - no ambience and odd curry house. We are sorry to hear this was your experience, we were not made aware of these issues during your visit. We have only learned your issues from this review. Had you asked to speak to the manager he would have addressed these issues immediately. We take pride in our high standard of service and food hygiene and would have replaced the dish and taken it off the bill. We are always happy to adjust the air conditioning for the comfort of our customers had we known you felt.

We were in Bassett for something else so decided we would try this as it has some good reviews and we like Chinese food, we made a booking, no need mid week as we were the only customers. We ordered our food and a couple of drinks, the wine was undrinkable, heaven knows when it was first opened, the lady who took the order shouted up the stairs and a chap appeared fresh from watching Eastenders and proceeded to cook, our chosen mushroom dish was not available because Sainsburies closed at 8 and the chap had not got there in time, the rest of the food was cooked from frozen, pretty tasteless and the sauces gloopy and bitter. Difficult to get any reaction from the lady who was looking after us as she was playing on her phone for our entire meal. Needless to say will not be giving it another visit
