I a not a Pho kind of guy but Vietnamese food I eat often. Charbroil pork on broken rice a favourite of mine. The salad is my next favourite and I usually order them both. Fresh rolls with the peanut dip I eat sometimes but I try to not eat all the noodle as I am not a great fan but I like the dipping sauce. So, I traveled from Calgary for work and went here for dinner before heading back. Ordered all my favourites, the rolls and tea ($32.0+). The rolls were very scant of meat and vegetable and the dipping sauce okay but not that punch of peanut I am used too. My pork dish arrived and I was disappointed to see it was a simple slice of pork loin, grilled and server with what was maybe fish sauce on it and a bowl of extra sauce server on boil white rice and a few vegies (normal presentation). Pork was extremely dry, had no flavour and I was starving but it still did not taste good. "Salad" arrived, it was a chicken stir fry served on a bed of lettuce...not a salary I am used to. Not the dish I am used to but maybe there are more than one salad but a Stir Fry on lettuce...rubbish. The chicken had no flavour and that was it for me. One more bite and decided I was not going to put that crap in my stomach. Went up to pay them for "wasting my time", they offered to pack it up when she saw I did not touch the meals, so I told the lady it was the worst food I have ever tasted so I did not want it. They eagerly took their money with out saying anything further. I guess they know it is worth nothing but being filed under "G" - garbage. This is a lie. THEY ARE A BAD THAI RESTAURANT TRYING TO PASS OFF AS VIETNAMESE!!!Maybe they know how to make Pho but I will not try anything else if you want real Vietnamese. I drove all the way back to Calgary and got myself a proper meal there instead. What a waste of 32 bucks!!!

I had a friend come from out of town and she also enjoyed this restaurant as it is both Thai and Vietnamese. We shared a couple of plates and salad rolls. everything was perfect. highly recommend and prices are actually a bargain! Service and cleanliness are top notch.

For the best Chinese food with competitive prices in Red Deer, look no further than Phoenix Buffet! We're an all-you-can-eat buffet with great service. Our food is always fresh and full of flavour. Come and join us today or call us to place an order!
This is probably the best buffet in Red Deer. Everything was hot and they were constantly replenishing the food choices. Great dim sum and sushi. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the interior is getting tired and the restaurant needs an update,

This is my favourite restaurant for Chinese food. I keep seeing the Vietnamese menu and finally broke down and ordered off the menu. It was extremely tasty and I've got to think it is very healthy. While I get full on Chinese I was extremely happy with the large portions From now on I'm probably going to order off both menus! Their pricing is excellent too.

Visited Mamâs Mai for lunch with my brother, neither of us had been before so we werenât sure what to expect. We ordered the deep fried shrimp to start they were good, not sure how I felt about the breading but otherwise they were fine. For my main I ordered the seafood green curry and it was phenomenal! It came with coconut rice that was delicious, it had just the right amount of coconut to make it sweet but not over powering. The green curry was so so good, it through me off a bit when I came out because it looked more like a soup but once I added the rice to it, it was the perfect consistency. It just had a great flavor and I loved the snap peas and broccoli in it! I would definitely recommend it and will certainly be returning!

I work in Blackfalds and frequently have work lunches here. This place definitely has the best sushi in our area. It doesn't look like much from the outside but is very clean and the staff are absolutely wonderful (and no, they don't "profile" patrons as another reviewer has suggested). If you're passing through, have a sushi craving or want to try sushi, definitely give Sushi Ta-Ke a shot!

This is a beautiful Japanese restaurant in Red Deer. It has a great view, the servers are extremely kind, and, best of all for me, it is incredibly accommodating for people like me who are allergic to gluten. This is the first Japanese restaurant that I've been to that told me they could modify almost any item on the menu! Our favorite menu items were the shrimp skewers and miso soup, but everything was fabulous!

My family wanted sushi for supper so we went back to Momo Sushi. Let me say that Momo is the best Sushi place in Red Deer and is reasonably priced. You can either eat in or take out. Highly recommended for either lunch or dinner and good for groups. Parking is a bit tight given itâs proximity to the Red Deer Court House and Remand center so patience is a must.

Tandoor n Flame is a small family owned Indian Restaurant located in the core of Downtown Red Deer. As a family owned and operated business we are here to offer a delightful range of refined-fine food, which remains faithful to the best culinary tradition
For a first time eater of Indian food, I really enjoyed my meal here. The server was very kind and helpful at explaining the dishes and was willing to modify the heat/spice. My vegetable Biryani was delicious and had exactly the right amount of heat for a newbie! Another member of our party particularly enjoyed his Chicken Tikka Masala.

Hidden away in an industrial area this restaurant is a real find. I wasn't expecting a restaurant of this calibre in the industrial area. When we drove up and found the restaurant nearly full I knew we were in for a treat! Excellent food and lots of it. Friendly staff.
