Underwhelming food. Underperforming service. Undersized chairs. The food is okay for strip mall sushi. The yakisoba was not bad, the tempura decent and sushi the same. But nothing stood out in terms of quality or presentation. The service was poor. We asked about a different table ( wait till I get to the chairs...) in a less tha 1/4 filled restaurant and may as well have been asking eat for free. The chairs. I am only a little taller than average and it wss like sitting in a child's seat. And they're designed with arms that would suit arms with elbows that bent even with your hip joints. Perhaps a restaurant for Hobbits? Maybe.

Chada Thai fine cuisine has consistently been rated as the best Thai restaurant in the Lower Mainland. The cuisine is authentic and superb while the atmosphere transports to the exotic Land of Smiles. Let Spices Guide Your Senses! Chada Thai prides itself
Very small and rather crowded place but yummy Thai. Service was excellent, fast and the food was delicious. Plates are a little small so you need to order more so that makes it a bit expensive. Have been there several times and will continue to go. Very authentic. Too crowded for a romantic dinner.

The food was wonderful, and the owner gave us extra food from the buffet on more than 1 occasion with our takeout order. all in all a great experience

Weâve been here several times. Itâs without a doubt one of the best Vietnamese places Iâve visited. Service is excellent. Food terrific. The chicken pho is the best ever. Piping hot and tasty. Parking can be challenging if you ignore the reserved signs you can find a spot

I agree with an earlier review by Mobius 1965, BUT....I might be a little more generous with the rating: mine would be approx 3.7 circles, taking into account price, quality friendliness of staff, cleanliness of venue, comfort factor etc. all good.Ginza Japanese 'style' restaurant on Oxford St in Poco last evening was a busy place when we arrived for our 730pm reservation 4pax. There was a queue of young people waiting to be seated, and the kitchen was pumping out an array of colourful platefuls of sushi like offerings. It's NOT a traditional Japanese restaurant, in fact I never spotted a Japanese person anywhere on the premises, so IF that's what one is looking for, avoid.IF however, you want a good meal 'in the style', GINZA is better than average for this part of the world imho.My dining companions opted for the colourful rolls with fancy names. I tasted a bit of everything, but MY order was SASHIMI, the DX plate @ 20 bucks, allegedly a deluxe selection, chef's choice. I am a traditionalist in the sense that I wish to TASTE the fresh fish, uncluttered by too much else. The colourful rolls have lots of mayo like stuff, sweetish sauces, and chili peppers etc. NOT my thing, so I 'stick with my knitting'.Sashimi DX (stands for deluxe, I was informed) selection had some good moments, and the tuna was fresh and tasty, generous amount, ditto salmon. Tiny serve of razor clam ok, tako very average, HUGE amount of shredded daikon radish dwarfed everything else, a few salad leaves, no wasabi? wassup? No uni (sea urchin eggs) in the restaurant. period.(Too tuff to stock, said the spokesman)In a general sense, the sashimi dish was fine / fresh / enjoyable, but hardly 'deluxe'.At the price point of 20 bucks = nothing to complain about, either. We ordered a gluten free soya sauce at extra cost, and a wasabi with pickled ginger dutifully arrived later, as did warm green tea. My companions ordered a cold sake which was 'industrial' quality. They enjoyed their colourful roll selections, and I sampled at least one of everything. Not anything to write home about imho, but better than average in this local market.....Service:Really good making reservation, answered telephone promptly, seated quickly bypassed the queue at door.Friendly and chatty table server, we got an UNSOLICITED (we said nada, old friends enjoying our time together as we waited) 'apology' for slowness in serving the food, and an offer of miso soup 'on the house', AFTER food was consumed. So, management KNOW they have an issue there, but it never concerned us.We were promptly seated when we arrived spot on 730pm, though no food appeared for 45 minutes.Dear management:IF u r running slow with food, suggest serve DRINKs quickly?(we had an empty table for 45 mins+)If u r REALLY concerned, put out nibbles or snacky things, but why wait 90 minutes into proceedings to bring up the 'subject', by offering an item we didn't order, don't particularly want, and for good reason because it wasn't particularly good, and I didn't consume after tasting = strange daze in poco town. Conclusion:Clean tidy venue, friendly service, sushi 'nouveau' formula with a nod to the traditional, a Japanese 'style' food experience which seems to be popular in the local POCO area.Value fair.Quality good, not astounding. My assessment is 3.7 circles rounded up to 4 on this forum.

It's been a few years since I last reviewed Wah Wing. Our family's favourite "GO TO' restaurant: young and old all say: "Let's go to Wah Wing!"Recently on the occasion of a big birthday ...one where the '9' turns into a ZERO... a dozen of us celebrated at WAH WING.in all the years, never had a poor experience here, always a warm welcome, top service, cheerful, nothing is too difficult, comfortable, clean great VALUE and TOP chef in the genre. On the night: we all ordered our fave dishes, so we had PLENTY, enough to send the young ones home with doggy bags.ALL dishes were REALLY DELICIOUS, my fave on the day, ordered by by nephew was the ginger beef = outstanding !I ordered the pea shoot stir fry...in season & WONDERFULLY cooked, as recommended by our excellent servers. they are without exception, a top crew.We ordered many dishes & no one uttered a negative on any choices. This CONSISTENCY in excellence has been a hallmark of the Wah Wing experience.Whether it's a banquet or just a quick lunch = top quality /value.Our thanks to management and staff of Wah Wing for the many years of happy dining out.Highest marks in ALL categories.Highest recommendations we can give.

This quaint little shop serves excellent authentic Thai food. Very cozy little restaurant with limited seats but weâve never not found a place to sit. The entree meals include rice salad and a hot tasty spring roll. Broke out of the box this time and had tofu stir fry. Very tasty. Medium hot is plenty.

I have tried severL sushi restaurants and was never a big fan until i tasted Sushi K Kamizato. OMG unbelievable and made me a sushi lover for this restaurant The restaurant is small with lots of atmosphere. We usually come early to avoid the line up.I have tried many items on the menu, each bursting with flavour. The green tea is also delicious Keith and his crew do a fantastic job for a casual yet incredibly tasty dining experience.Since eating at Sushi K Kamizato, unfortunately i am spoiled and other sushi just is ho hum compared.

We really liked the decor and the food tasted great, but everything was wrong with service. They only brought us one of two meals ordered. When we finally asked it was clear, the second one had been left off the order entirely. Couldn't get water refills, never offered a chance to order a second drink, or coffee or dessert or our bill. Was busy when we arrived and all but empty for the night when we left but we all but had to holler for everything as serving staff never cast a glance our way. So bad it became funny - sort of.Dear customer, Thank you for taking time to provide us feedback on you visit. I'm very sorry you had an unplesant experiance. I apologize on behalf of the serving staff. This was a very unusual incident. Customer service is one of our core strengths, as well as our food. Your comment is valuable to us. I will be discussing this incident with our staff to improve and maintain excellent customer service.I hope you will visit us again in the near future as we'd love an opportunity to impress you with food and service.
