We stopped in here for a late lunch after an appointment in Peterborough but was a bit disappointed after liking it the first time. The combination plate was tasty and good portions at a reasonable price but everything was so heavily salted that my tongue was on edge after eating there and I drank water for the rest of the day. My wife will not go back as she thinks they are trying to pickle you.

Stopped for lunch recently, place was not terribly busy but attention lacking. We each ordered different items off of the menu; she ordered 'Pickwickian' sandwich and I ordered 'Hail the Cheese'. Of the two orders hers was bland in flavor, a wrap that tasted like it had been pre-prepared maybe the day before? Anyway, not a lot of flavor though the menu description made it sound like a taste bud explosion. My toasted cheese sandwich was fresher and had more flavor. Found the prices high considering it was lunch time. Almost 40 dollars for lunch with no alcohol.

This Asian restaurant has a page of Korean food on the menu. We loved the hot bowl filled with rice, mushrooms, chicken, vegetables and onions and a lovely spicy sauce, but not too hot. The dish also came with fried tofu, spiced cabbage and dumplings, all for an extremely good price of less than $!3 each. We ordered delivery and that was a small fee.

My wife and I had a sashimi tray and whistler roll from this restaurant. The fish appeared and tasted fresh and the roll was equally good. Quantity for dollar charged was surprisingly meagre. Despite being so good, we would think twice about a repeat visit because of high cost

We specialize in Canadian Chinese food serving individual plates to large family dinners.
The food was the same delicious food, but I had an allergic reaction to something so I'm not sure if there has been a change in the ingredients. Leary of travelling out there again.Hi there! Thanks for the review! Iâm the original owner and although we do have new owners, I am still managing the restaurant at this point in time. Iâm sorry to hear you had an allergic reaction. It would certainly help us if you contacted us and let us know what it is that you ordered and what you are allergic to so we can get to the bottom of the issue so it doesnât happen again to you (or someone else). Hope youâll come back and we can get it sorted out. Cheers!

Finally got around to eating at Karmaâs Cafe, we went full on Tibetan trying the Tibetan beef and nasi goreng. Both were delicious with healthy portions. We started the meal with their spring rolls which were hands down the best in town and maybe the best Iâve ever eaten. No mince here, real chunks of chicken and veg with great crunch.I tried the Tibetan Butter Tea and all I can say is that it was an experience. Itâs like a blend of salty butter, hot milk and a hint of black tea. The waitress warned me, but I had to do it.The waitress was very friendly, explained the meals well and took care of us promptly.

Love the Caesar dressing! No shortage of garlic here! Took my grandson here recently, staff very accommodating for the younger ones. He ordered off of the kids menu, your basic chicken strips and fries. I had the Factory Spaghetti which is basically a casserole dish jammed full of spaghetti and meatballs and I added the baked cheese on it. I made the mistake of ordering the regular size, the smaller dish would have been more than ample with the side salad. Service was decent, the restaurant was busy but we were seated in short order.

Based on TA reviews, the Dragon Yan was recommended as THE place to go in Peterborough for Chinese food in an intimate setting. It was !The small restaurant seats approx. 24 at well-spaced tables - no booths. Service was efficient and our orders came out within 10 minutes. Eggs rolls were hot, crispy and delicious. Our lunch included the chicken-vegetables-almond-rice combo and the lo mein combo (noodles !!, chicken fried rice, chicken, mushrooms, ...), both of which were fantastic. Substantial servings and well presented.Definitely going back. $ 40. for two incl. soft drinks, HST & gratuities.

The tradition of Bualai Taste of Thailand Restaurant is now being carried on by new owners Nutsara and Toey Abel and we are pleased to announce the name change to Jasmine Thai Cuisine. Please come join us soon! 'Clean, fresh, healthy, delicious'
I had been told the Thai food here was "authentic", but really it's nothing of the sort. It's quite a pleasant atmosphere, but the touristy decorations should be a warning. Thai food is all about the spices and, in particular, the pounded fresh spices that form the basis for most Thai dishes. Here, they had none of the zing, none of the freshness that a good cook would provide. The green curry, for instance, which should be quite easy to make, was bland and lacked several of the basic ingredients that are easily found in Toronto. Everything we tasted was disappointing. The service was slow and impersonal.

This tiny, take out only restaurant is not bad at all.House made spring rolls, tasty.A few less common offerings such as pineapple ginger chicken, and no less than two vegetarian meal combos! They close early (9 on Fridays), but our phone ahead order was hot, fresh, ready, and reasonably priced.Friendly at the counter.Try it.
