Reviews on Asian food in Pejeng, Tampaksiring, Bali. Pejeng is a village in Bali, Indonesia, in the Petanu River valley. It is a bit east of Ubud in Gianyar Regency. It is home to the Moon of Pejeng, the largest single-cast bronze kettle drum in the world. Pejeng is a rural area with extensive, and ancient, irrigated rice cultivation.

Lovely setup hidden at the end of Jalan Bisma, Nice welcome and by the way the service was excellent throughout the meal BUT, like everyone else, we go to a restaurant for the food.. and we were quite disappointed.. The salmon was thoroughly overcooked, the "sweet potato puree" had the consistency of concrete mix..The lamb was very dry, probably because the mint yoghurt was nowhere to be found, except on the menuInstead of berries in the "PISTACHIO CRUMBLED BERRY & CREAM TART", it was a cheap mixed berry jam.In summary, there are dozens of restaurants in Ubud which provide a better culinary experience and better value for money.Dear Bapak/Ibu VudeSingapourWarm Greeting from Pistachio Ubud!Allowing me in personal to express my appreciation for your reviews and constructive feedback in Tripadvisor, in term of food which not met to your expectation. within this opportunity your comments have been on my notice and rectified with our chef for improvement in the future, i believe that our chef has made lots of improvement in presentation and composition of taste to suit with our customer preferences. our commitment to manage with all feedback to keep us on the track, including your feedback to become your kind attention and love us to be improved to the best again and again. we highly appreciated it. Regarding salmon, sweet potato puree, lamb, and pistachio crumble berry & cream tart as nothing wrong but as mention earlier,we will manage to put consistency for overall menu taste, presentation and also prompt service for our guest satisfaction. Look forward able to serve you back on day ahead. Till then have a great dayWarm Regards MudiartaAsst.Rest Manager

You will not be disappointed with their limited but well portioned meals at an affordable price. These are home cooked meals as fresh as you could expect at a top restaurant. After 6pm, expect a short wait until you get a table. I was told that they are expanding both kitchen and dining space in the next month. What a good find!

I searched on tripadvisor a restaurant to eat close to our stay and I found Sun Sun Warung with good reviews. I gave it a try and it was a good choice, very good dishes and very cheap. I recommend "ayam sune cekuh", "ayam bakar" and "vegetarian mie goreng package" with "pisang goreng" as a dessert. The location is not too big, they have aroound 8 tabels. It was a nice experience.

Set in rice paddies with an outlook to water and the jungle this is a beautiful place to spend at least some of your life. While that in itself is a pleasure the quality of the food matches the environment as does the friendly, professional service. In my opinion, and I have eaten at a number of the worlds top restaurants Sacred Rice is nudging if not equal to a Michelin one Star at a fraction of the price. Do yourself a favour go as many times as you can when in Bali, you wonât be disappointed.

Farm to table, locally sourced and sustainable. Three great words to sum up Chef Robert Erickson's style of culinary design. A sixty seats Sexy and Romantic restaurant.
The lovey staff seduced me with their special pasta of the day. Paired with a glass semillon from my country, I'm surprised to find this hidden fine dining restaurant in ubud. Everything was nicely done, the staff are lovely. Hat off to the chef.

We tried the chef's 4 Course Set Menu and the Seafood Trio. There was a lot of creativity in the food - lots of local ingredients were matched together to create a dish. It tasted ok. Ambiance wise, was ok. We were seated upstairs and found the place to be a little warm. Service staff was cheerful and friendly.Thank you for coming to Spice and for your review. As you noted, all our ingredients are Indonesian; the 'gastro' part of being a gastro-bar is in their combination and cooking techniques. We're sorry you found it a bit warm above the open kitchen. We will look into that, and we hope you will come again.
