We live quite local so visit occasionally and have regular takeaways (collection only, no delivery)However, this weekend we had family visiting from the States who rarely have Indian food so we took them to the Tamarind restaurant. We promised them a fantastic meal, and they didn't disappoint! Absolutely amazing food, first class friendly service and lovely atmosphere! Our family really enjoyed it!! Thank you!!

Our Giggling Squid in Norwich is probably our grandest and biggest to date. We thought âweâve made it â the cathedral is our neighbour!â If you know Tombland, itâs the lovely, large Grade II listed building right in the centre with the stained glass windo

Welcome to Taste of Malabar, a very Authentic, Exotic and genuinely family run South Indian restaurant in Norwich. Antony and Lizy, the owners have always had a passion for traditional South Indian cuisine, having both grown up in Kerala where the history
When you visit a provincial city for the first time and just weekend, finding the right restaurant to match your taste, diet and cuisine is challenge. Of the many so called Indian on the offer it is quite easy to see they are all but Indian in name, in reality a majority are Bangladeshi run places with their average multi page un-inspiring menu. One often wonders why people will even venture there. Then came up this gem, non descript ordinaray shop fronted but well maintained eatery. The menu is short, list of items are such that they have to be made as fresh (unlike the awful onion bhaji reheated in the other places) such as paneer and aubbergine pakora which we ordered and were delighted.Being run by a Keralan family working hard (Malabar is another name for Kerala) Sticking to vegetarian, Gobi munchurian was tasty and so were Idli and Mysore Masala dosa. Had I chosen to partake fish then there is no match for Kerala fish curry. The staff which mainly comprised owner's daughter studying law and her friend doing MBA. Very polite, smiling and efficient and it was hearterning to see fellow diners some of whom had been to Kerala and nodding in appreciation. Our culinary requirements fully catered for and I would recommend anyone to visit this place

Asian/Thai street fusion food successfully combining elements of different culinary traditions, a good bonus for Norwich. Serving great cocktails topped off with live music and vinyls. What is not to like. Highly recommended.

Checked online from cottage we were staying out. Mixed reviews. Decided to try it anyway. Staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming. Ordered 3 different curries, rice and naan bread. Arrived quickly, hot and very good! Definitely recommend, as always in restaurants drinks were quite pricey.

Decided to book a table after reading reviews. Greeted by extremely friendly staff, very attentive . There were a lot of people coming in shaking hands with staff so clearly regular diners . The food was delicious . I also had a glass of the French merlot which I recommend. We now have a new favourite Indian restaurant that we will definitely return to .

Dhaba 15 is the home of Indian Street Food in #Norwich An experience that brings authentic traditional street food of India to life in a modern setting. Indian Street Food Norwich. We also offer vegetarian and vegan dishes including gluten free options.
I have heard good things about Dhaba and went for the first time last night, very friendly staff and nice atmosphere....very different to a standard Indian.Opt for the North Indian Lamb and Rice, wow the dish was fantastic....very tender lamb cooked in a sauce with a little kick.......excellent and something I have not experienced elsewhere.Based on the first of many visits I thing this is by far the best Norwich has to offer by a country mile.
