Reviews on Asian food in Napier, North Island, New Zealand. If you like Art Deco architecture, you must visit Napier. The town was completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1931, then completely rebuilt in gorgeous Art Deco style. A number of local wineries also offer tours and tastings.

5 of us went for a nice lunch on Saturday. The special was $10 each incl. curry, protein, rice and naan bread. My Grandma had been there a few times and the server recognized her straight away and offered her, her regular which she accepted. 3 Kormas, 1 Tikka Masala and 1 dal tadka, all very good. Nice spot, great service, and excellent price. I will try this spot for dinner next!

Had dinner here last night. We planned to go somewhere else but it was booked out. Family were hungry and we walked past this cafe and decided to give it a go. What a pleasant surprise. The service was nothing less than outstanding. The food was equally as good. Wife had the beef Rendang which was perfectly cooked. My Mee Goreng was one of the best I have had. The chicken satays and squid entrees were hungrily devoured by me seven year old. What little I got tasted good. There was a childrenâs menu but next tome I would order starters for my daughter. Healthier and more tasty. Overall highly recommended

Ordered takeaway for dinner today. Picked it up as it was ready and walked 5 mins home.Horrendous. None of it was good, but letâs start with the acceptable. Samosas and lamb shish acceptable too but not good. Soft, almost stale tasting onion Bhaji served in a cheap, tacky looking box which appeared better suited for budget fried chicken. Tandoori chicken. Dry (I realise itâs not a curry) and very over cooked. Not awful taste but plain and again lacked any spice or punch.Beef Makhani. Terrible. Asked for Kiwi hot and it was mild if not sweet. Disgracefully small amount of meat. If you were served it sitting at the restaurant youâd send it back for sure. Not cheap. Not good. Not even ok. 2/10. At best. Wonât be back and mind blown by the positive reviews. No wonder the 4 people inside looked depressed.

Thaihutt restaurant brings the taste of Thailand to New Zealand With a reputation of authenticity and excellence, give you great food Fresh ingredient, inspiring ambience and friendly service With exquisite view of Napier on Marine parade.
Ordered takeaways and the food was yummy - the typical Thai flavours we were expecting. Was a little disappointed that they didn't have the Curry Puffs but such is life. To be honest it was quite expensive - two mains and three entrees (two of the entrees consisted of 3 mini spring rolls each) and it was over $70.00 - at home it would have cost around $56.00.

Dear customers, we are very excited to inform you that as the new owner of Restaurant Indonesia, we will bring more authentic flavour and choices for your dining experience and you can also appreciate the true Indonesian hospitality. Looking forward to we
The decor is very authentic and we were greeted with big smiles. We had the 'Mixed Rijsttafel' (which I would describe as Indonesian-style tapas), and it was the best Indonesian food we've had in a long while. The restaurant was understaffed the day we visited, so service was a bit slow, but still a fantastic meal. The place was packed, so if you are in Napier, I suggest making a reservation and have dinner here. Highly recommend this eatery!Hi Fafa-Ahm,Thank you for your visit and your patience during our very busy time with minimum help.Really glad you enjoyed the MIx Rijsttafel, looking forward to your next visit and with a more timely service next time.Have an amazing weekend and take care.

The service was friendly and professional. Loved the Mushroom curry and also my husband really enjoyed his Tikka Masala. Would def go again when in Napier
