Reviews on Asian food in Montreux, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Jazz aficionados know Montreux as the home of the famed jazz festival. And where else will you find a statue of Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury? But even those who aren't music fans will find respite in this resort town on the Swiss Riviera: The wineries here are world renowned, the Chateau de Chillon is an impressive example of a medieval castle and the views of the Dents-du-Midi are breathtaking. Walk on the lake promenade, ride the cogwheel train or wander Old Montreux to taste its Edwardian flavor.

Spécialté fondue chinoise, coréen barbecue et les plats traditionnels chinois Bienvenue pour découvrir
My wife and I stopped of at this restaurant, however we were appalled the language issues. I speak French/German and English, attempted all 3 languages with the waitress- No luck. The waitress really struggled to communicate with us, instead just put a tablet in front of us, and pressed the English Flag button and walked away.

Being an Asian who grew up believing that you never truly have a complete meal without rice, I of course felt the need to check out this restaurant in the land of cheese fondues. It's touted as a Japanese restaurant, but really, it's essentially a Chinese restaurant, run by Chinese owners, with Chinese flavors on all their dishes (they offer Thai dishes as well!).I liked their flavors, though. It tasted authentic to me anyway! Portions are generous as well. Service is good and fast. What kept me from rating this as very good was the fact that although the flavors were good, they were basically repeated in other dishes. So when you've tasted the sweet and sour pork/chicken/fish, you can expect to find the same flavor in the lemon chicken, for example. In that sense, there is not much variety, despite the 10+ pages that you'll find on the menu. It's still a good option, though, if you love Asian food. Just don't go there everyday or you'll grow tired of the food very quickly! Try the Gangnam Korean Resto a few doors away as well. Very nice!

We ordered crispy wonton, chicken with casual nuts and sizzling beef in Mongolian sauce. Beef and wonton were excellent. Chicken was a bit bland. Prices are reasonable for Switzerland standard. It is a bit expensive compare to Germany or Italy. Food thing is staff were very competent and speak excellent English. Since Montreux is french speaking area of Switzerland, it is good to find this place.

We were staying down the hill in the Clarens section of Montreauz and accidentally stumbled across this delightful restaurant in what used to be the Clarens train station. Excellent food plus superb service. Highly recommend the green curry beef. Prices are very reasonable for Switzerland.

Overall good Thai restaurant not far from Montreux.Interior is relatively nondescript.Food is pretty good, and size of portions served is reasonable.Price is quite affordable considering you are in Switzerland.Only disagreeable surprise is that you can't pay with a card - only cash is accepted. This never makes me feel very comfortable.

beautiful Asain place with a nice terrace !!! Very comfortable for everyone !!!
My wife and I both love Asian food so we were excited to find a new Vietnamese restaurant in the area. We were not disappointed with Chez Thoa. The service was very friendly in this family run restaurant which right away set it apart from many other restaurants. We had the Pho Bo, Tom Yum soup and a mixed vegetable dish. All were perfectly cooked. I have had many Tom Yum soup's over the years in various restaurants around the world and this one was one of the best. Truly authentic and great flavours. We're already planning our trip back!

We always get Chinese food at least once when we travel - gives us variety and it's a cultural check. This restaurant is popular, busy, crowded, with a large menu that is easy to decipher. We ordered steamed shrimp dumplings, then chicken with mushrooms and chicken with black pepper sauce. Both came with rice. Servings were substantial and tasty. I rated this one "cheap eats" because it was cheap compared to almost all other places we ate durng 3 weeks in Switzerland - still 18 CHF per meal..

Remarkably well located in Montreux, close to the shores of Lake Geneva and only a few minutes from the Casino and the Chateau de Chillon. The Huit Sushi Restaurant has become over the years a must for lovers of good sushi and Japanese cuisine and Korean.
There were a few tofu dishes and couple of veg rolls. Only the rolls were good, not anything else. Salmon sushi was really good.
