Thai Corner is a multi-award winning restaurant. Jerry and staff are proud to provide customers with memorable Thai dining experiences for over 30 years.
Visited on a Sunday evening, friendly welcome although it was little disconcerting to see a toddler kicking takeaway containers around behind the till. The food was a strange mixture, some good ( Green Curry, Stir fried tofu and veg), some poor ( pineapple fried Rice with no pineapple in sight or taste ), some unusual ( Pad Thai arriving red with a strong smell and taste of tomato paste ), and one missing ( Jasmine Rice requested, not provided ).It is reasonably priced and nicely furnished but there are too many other Thai restaurants in the area to risk another experience, so we wonât be back.

Was a quiet night when we went, table for eight, everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, beware, large portions. The main point that made this special was the presentation of the food, very different and inventive. Service was very good, attentive but not in your face. Thanks Saroor for a great evening.

Stopped here for lunch the other day, wanting something tasty and quick that wasn't a sandwich. What a surprise this place proved to be. The service was gentle and efficient and just friendly enough. The menu held many Asian delights and it was lovely to see the chef through the window making the food fresh as it was ordered.I started with the Spring Rolls and really enjoyed them. They were crisp and full of crunchy vegetables and so fresh to mention the generous size of them. I then had the chicken satay. Wow! They were so delicious smothered in wonderfully tasty stay sauce and a nice little pickled slaw. I didn't think I could fit it all in but couldn't stop eating it and so devoured the lot.

Came here for dinner with friends and it was all good. The staff are very helpful and patient. The kitchen was pretty quick.Wine & beer & saki were all good quality offerings at reasonable prices. The food was very well presented and reasonable sized plates. Excellent quality seafood. The only minor disappointment is that they do not serve coffee - oh well.

The Modern Eatery offers the sashimi and sushi staples along with a range of small Japanese dishes in a tapas style such as tempura, gyoza and croquettes. Everything we had was good quality and delicious. We ordered 6 dishes between the two of us and we were full. This casual restaurant is deservedly popular as there were no free tables at 8pm on a Wednesday so it is worth making a reservation. Food prices are very reasonable but we thought the wine was a little expensive for a casual eatery with the cheapest at $42 a bottle. You can however BYO for a cottage charge of $10. Would definitely eat here again.

Haven't been to Map Thai for a few years and forgot how good it is. Ordered a range of dishes and were amazed everyone was excellent. Hard to fault. Staff were excellent and looked after us. Online table booking system failed us, but staff quickly sorted this out and placed us at a table.

This restaurant was once highly recommended. I recall reading newspaper reviews. I had eaten there twice before and was happy with the freshness of the food and variety. However, my last meal - a takeout - was terrible. Could only eat two mouthfuls before throwing it out. Sweet and sour fish. Dreadful gloop. The fish was not quality or fresh. The vegetables were carrot, cucumber and one other item. Fortunately we ordered white rice too and we could eat that. The price was the highest I have paid for Asian takeout food. Won't be going back. Perhaps people dining in the restaurant get better quality ..... because they can complain while they are eating it. Takeout customers don't try the food until they are kilometres away, at home.

This restaurant was close to our accommodation and so good we eat here twice in one week.It is clearly extremely popular and having eaten here, I understand why. Our food was delicious and having eaten in many indian restaurants, I can confirm it was one of the best we've experienced. The staff were attentive without being overpowering. The food was beautifully cooked and arrived in a timely fashion. The house wine was excellent and whilst we lingered somewhat over the meal, we did not feel under pressure to eat up and get out quickly. The staff were amused by our slighty over zealous ordering and kindly arranged 'doggy bags' of our surplus food for us to eat the next day! ( Just as delicious then too!) My only regret is that as I was on holiday in Freo that I will not be back again for some time!

This place gets so busy with regulars, youâre lucky to snag a table without a booking. But the food is delicious and quite authentic. You can never go wrong with momos and a curry with a side of puri. Add a Nepalese beer and youâre set. Not our first visit here and wonât be our last!
