Located in Wollishofen, Winit's Restaurant can be accessed with Tram #7 (Post or Morgental). The interior atmosphere of the place is very nice from the traditional Thai decorations, figurines, photos, and more and then a large wall-mounted TV. The rear garden patio has been beautifully landscaped with Buddha figures, well-manicured shrubs, trees, flowers and most tables have protective umbrellas.The service and staff were extremely nice from the minute I walked in the door. I had made reservations online and my table was reserved and waiting for me.I visited during their one-year anniversary, which is being celebrated until the end of June. In celebration of their first year, they were offering the AYCE (aâ discretion) lunch buffet for only 19.50CHF (5CHF cheaper than their normal pricing). The buffet included fish, beef, chicken, pork, pasta, noodles, rice, and an egg dish. A dessert was also included in the price.The food was very good and spiced appropriately. One item not previously mentioned, a beverage MUST be purchased with the AYCE buffet; this is not the case if ordering from the a la carte menu.Winitâs offers free secured Wi-Fi for customers, spotless restrooms, and soothing background music. They also have a separate, walk-up Take-Away window. Management allows and encourages for those wishing to take photos. They participate in the Lunch Check System and the POINZ system. A Recommendation: The buffet food must be replenished faster for the lunch rush crowd, as several times there was a wait for some dishes to be replenished, and when these dishes were replenished, at times, it was only with small portions which quickly disappeared again. Also, at times the food could have been better heated on the buffet. I still rate Winitâs five stars and would certainly visit again.Dear GuestThank you for your positive feedback. Central location, small but cosy place with a few outdoor seats in the summer (not many cars in that street).Good selection of momos (5 sorts) with a mixed platter available along with a menu with salad or soup. The Tibetan beer was also good. The owner very friendly. I would definitely recommend you stopped for some amazing dumplings!

We had dinner on a Friday night early August 2016â¦. we love Thai food so always have high expectations when eating out. Our meal was super and the staff friendly. Thank you, we will be back in a week or so :)

We had seen the reviews and they were right. Excellent Thai food freshly cooked and great value. Restaurant is small with limited seating and it was quite full. Good service and great value Will recommend and come again. No need to travel further afield for great Thai cuisine.

Tasty food, gentle kind service, and the pace was fitting. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and beef Bon gau, which the waitress recommended. I normally wouldn't pick as the ingredients weren't on the top of my list but the dish came out wonderfully with none of the elements overpowering the experience. My 15 year daughter thought it should get 5 out of 5.

What more could you ask for ? The food is amazing. Went off menu for the wifes favourite dish Brinjal Bhaji and it was devine as were all the other dishes. Signature dish is Chicken Tikka Masala in all but name. Service is faultless including making sure that you dont order too much ) ie one rice will do two people. If you like garlic the garlic naan is to die for. As it was my wifes birthday (which they picked up on) they gave us a complementary large bowl of ice cream and chocolate sauce (with sparklers !) which was more than enough for the four of us. We left full and very happy. Book in advance to sit in the room with the view of the lake.

Weâve been to several places in order to find authentic and tasty Indian food. This place so far has been the best in terms of quality of the dishes, freshness and service. Can definitely recommend eventhough the place from outside doesnât look that welcoming.
