Mayur Restaurant is situated in an alley off Mall road in Old Manali. It's hidden away from the hustle & bustle of Mall road. When inside the restaurant it's a different place compared to most restaurants in the area. We ordered Tandoori trout & it was brought very quickly. The presentation was great.Once we tasted it we felt the freshness of the fish & I can vouch that this fish was in the water a few hours ago. There was no trace of it being in a cold storage.It was well marinated & cooked that we could not resist the temptation of eating it to the bone. The staff were very courteous & the manager at the counter was very helpful in helping us to select our dish. The interior was clean & the kitchen was in order. unfortunately I was able to patronize this restaurant only once as I found it only a few hours before leaving Manali. I will make it a point to enjoy at least one meal a day during my next visit to Manali. This is a must visit restaurant in old Manali. Trout is a delicacy of this area.

Chinese dishes are fantastic here. The chicken manchow soup I had was superb I did not have that type of soup in whole of Manali. Ingredients are very fine. Preparation is very good. Restaurant is a bit congested but overall a very good eating experience. Noodles and Amercan Choupsey were also very tasty

My most favourite place in Manali....A must visit for vegetarians.....Vegetarian fried momos are to die for....Have visited this place a number of times for several years and the food quality has never been compromised.... This place is located in the log hut area on the back side of the Hadimba temple. The temple is close by, around 50 stairs away....

Tasty dishes made with good quality ingredients.I tried the musaka and it had nothing to do with a Greek musaka but was delicious anyway. It was a really small portion though, specially if compared to other dishes they have (biryany portions are huge).

AWESOME cute food cafe with tasty special paneer kulchey choley Masala Chaap. 1st time in my life to try this dish and it was amazing delicious. The owner is a Singh GUY SO HUMBLE AND FRIENDLY. iF YOU ARE SOME WHERE IN MANALI pls drop in at this cafe, its just at the road side and you better be early as its always busy. A must place to go if you are someone who loves to try new food.

Definitely the best place to be when you are in Old Manali. Whether its the day time or the evening or even late at night, this place is always buzzing with energy due to an amazing ambience, great food and superb service.You have sufficient choice to sit outside adjacent to the river (at a height), indoors or even on the rock top by the river side itself.You can spend the whole day lazing around ordering beverages/drinks of your choice and a great cuisine from the expert chefs.Services also include Sheesha/Hookah and it seems quite popular with the younger lot.This has been my 2nd season at Old Manali and I have had most of my meals at The Lazy Dog and I must say everything tastes great and the service is always with a smile.It is a must drop-in if you are in Old Manali.Thanx for such wonderful memories @ The Lazy Dog.

I had the tortelloni (lamb ragu inside, accompanied by light tomato sauce and thick sheared pieces of cheese and some leafy basil), which was easily the best western pasta dish this reviewer ever had in India. Service was professional, with bar menu on offer (cocktails, mocktails, etc.), which makes it feel very much like a western restaurant (but with Indian dishes on offer too). Note that if you are looking for both the restaurant AND the hotel, there are TWO Johnson establishments (right next to each other but divided by a garden / lot wall; walk out the lobby of each for 20 meters and you will be in the other place), each with its own restaurant. This Bar & Restaurant is with the Johnson LODGE. The Cafe is with the Johnson HOTEL.
