Lahaina, the former Hawaiian capital, was the center of the global whaling trade, and its Historic District is a National Historic Landmark. Traditional Hawaiian luaus, surf lessons and tours on horseback are fun, but let’s be realistic—you wouldn’t be in Hawaii if you didn’t want to go to the beach. Try Ka’anapali Beach, one of Maui’s best.

Since opening for business in 1985, Maui's Thai Chef Restaurant has been the island's favorite Thai eatery. Known for their delicious selection of fresh fare and vegetarian-friendly meal offerings, Thai Chef Restaurant, located in the Old Lahaina Shopping
I really like this Thai restaurant. Try the Thai Basil with chicken! GREAT food and cozy atmosphere. Not the best place if you have a large, loud group of people. Difficult to find, but worth it.

China Boat is located on Lower Honopiilani Road and serves decent Chinese food. When we want to eat Chinese food, this is one restaurant that we will think of.Service is good but the restaurant seems to need a little renovation. There is a private parking lot for the customers. They have a fairly busy take out business as well as the in house sales.

I donât typically like restaurants that you have to order at a counter and was sceptical until the food arrived. We sat outside and itâs a great little spot off the main road. Food came And the highlights were the Caesar salad and garlic cheese bread! Pastas were great and hot! Spaghetti and meat sauce delicious. The owner Juan did it all and did it terrifically! We will be back.

This is a new restaurant that just opened on September 24, 2010
The place was very no frills and just a few tables with chairs. No ambiance or decor or anything hawaiian on the walls. The food was average as the vegetables with my tofu were cabbage, celery and onions. Nothing special and no chinese veggies such as bokchoy. The mixed plate was just plain and no flavors as lacked sauce and no garlic or spices were used.

In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their F
The place has a lovely view and was recently remodeled. Itâs a relaxed atmosphere, by no means fancy. I had, you guessed it, a mixed plate; chicken, beef, and fish. The plate came with macaroni salad and white rice. I really hoped to sub the Mac salad out for veggies. But it was a no go. They offered to charge me for a dinner salad in addition to my mountain of carbs (which I left mostly uneaten). It was a big plate, and I can eat. I got through just over half of the protein, Iâm guessing like 9-10 ounces all together. My husband had some beef ribs. The food was good, not great. The Mai Tai wasnât overly sweet, as they so often are- so that was nice. Our waitress was very nice as well.

We looked for some place to eat which would not be upscale but solid in terms of food, quality and reviews. This restaurant is in the middle of some shopping area, probably, would not have found it were it not for the reviews. We didn't see too many tourists, seemed mostly locals, which is a good sign for us. Menu is extensive and we ordered the short ribs, curry noodles and a pork dish. Must say food tasted amazing. Definitely an Asian/Philippine twist, perfectly seasoned and good portions. Very efficient service and nice staff. Good valu for money considering you are in Maui.

Japengo is located just off of the lobby of the Hyatt Regency and above the swim up bar and waterfall. It is an open air restaurant with a laid back, relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the Seafood Udon, the Seafood Chow Fun, Kobacha and a Prawn and Mango Salad. All of our dishes were very good.We will return...

We had eaten here previously and felt it was acceptable, a few years ago. This time we ordered takeout, 3 rolls. The Tempura roll had tempura that wasn't freshly prepared in it. The Spicy Salmon skin roll was OK and the unagi roll was fine, nothing special; the prices seemed high for the quality. We come from the San Francisco Bay area where we get excellent, fresh sushi frequently (even served at our wedding), so expected this to continue to be high quality, but not to be. We gave this a rating of poor, because the quality was average but the price was not worth it.

Serving Fresh House Made Noodles & Asian Specialties.
We read all the positive reviews and were not disappointed. This place is great if your looking to try a variety of different things. We just kept ordering various items and they continued to bring them out fairly quickly. We enjoyed everything that was brought out. Service was excellent as well.

First visit to Azeka's. We had always wanted to try but hadn't gotten around to it. They have a large menu. Most people get it to go because they only have a bar to sit at and a few outdoor tables. It was very warm inside with no air. The staff were very helpful and our food came out pretty quickly. The lemon chicken with capers, rice and grilled vegetables was really wonderful. Thanks for a good meal.
