Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Ko Samet. Just three hours from Bangkok, Ko Samet is a favorite weekend beach getaway for expats and locals alike. However, most tourists head further south for their island breaks. Most of the island is protected as part of Khao Laem Ya – Mu Ko Samet National Park, making it clean and relatively unspoiled. The island offers a variety of resorts, from the quiet and family-orientated to those catering to the party-till-dawn crowd.

Right on the beach. BBQ blazing right by your table. Great food and s great view of the sea. My steamed fish in Thai sauce was amazing. It was enough to share.

As already mentioned in another comment, the drinks we ordered during âHappy hour â came half an hour after ordering and they werenât even tasty. And it was not like the place was busy. Therefore an average rating from me.Good thai food in a nice location.

1st went about 10 years ago, it was half the price then. Was good value for money on cocktails. From 300 bhat then to o 650 now is a hike. Food is good though and the staff are very friendly.
Great thin crust pizzas, that bubble up crispy and are carefully dressed with fresh ingredients. We shared the Margherita, simply excellent! The rest of the international menu looked great too and happy people were feasting around us on Mexican Burritos and pasta with a variety of Thai sauces. An International and fusion menu with great service right on the main street. Drink red wine and watch the world go by...

We ate here several times during our stay at Baan Ploy Sea Hotel. The seafood is fresh (live fish, crab, clams all being kept in separate containers with constant flow of fresh salt water) and the service is excellent. I would say that this is probably the best seafood restaurant on the island, and I would gladely eat here again. The atmosphere is also quite nice and relaxing.

My God what a wonderful place.Koh Samet best restaurant and hotelBest food, best service, the nicest staff, best location right on the beach. We were two families from Sweden who ate and drank, lunch and dinner here for 10 days. Can not recommend enough how good it is. We will certainly return. Thank you, Tot, Ton and thanks for all the cocktails and beer that John served us. Super Big thanks to all of you, the boys that served and you girls in the kitchen.Thank you sooooo much

We ate there for three nights (out of five) and we highly recommend it. The food (Thai and mixed) was fresh, delicious and was served with a smile. The staff is efficient, helpful and nice. The tables on the beach kiss the water which is a perfect place for an espresso and ice cream desert.

Loved eating here food was excellent. Sitting on the beach was a treat for the family. Service was poor as they had the kids serving and they couldn't speak English. But none the less food was great

We stayed in two bungalows for two nights, situated right on the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious set back in the woods by the beach. There is breakfast included, plenty of choice, from eggs to noodles and lots in between. There is also a restaurant on the beach with lots of choice and tables available right on the sand. We ate there twice, good service and good food. There is Thai massage available right on the beach, not sure if itâs part of the hotel but very reasonable. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay, would definitely return.

Good Thai food served here although the older woman serving is a bit grumpy and you basically are given what you get. I asked for chicken in cashew nuts and garlic rice to which I got only fried rice as a response. Despite that, what I eventually got given was very tasty and the French fries are BRILLIANT! I would also recommend the battered prawns - nice and tasty. It gets very busy - we went at 5.30 and by 6.30 they were turning people away so if you want to go, I advise going early!
