My husband and I stopped while checking out the new mall. The food was being cooked fresh, they were going samples of different dishes. The calorie counts are on the menus. We got 4 different things to try and they were all good. The only thing we didn't care for were the chicken egg rolls. The staff had a little trouble understanding English. We ended up with 2 sweet and sour sauces when we had asked for a duck sauce. Nice seating outside.

The food is delicious. Everyone cooks their food in either an individual pot of soup broth or shared on your table. Meats are ordered from the waitress. Vegetables and seafoods are self serve. The soup bar is what makes your food so yummy. My favorite is the house sauce, my husband likes the spicy house sauce. Fun and very tasty food. Our waitress Eileen was great!

The staff was very good and the location is clean. The gyoza were well made and more cabbage flavor came through than other restaurants. The chicken fried rice was very plain and flavorless. The tan tan ramen was salty without sesame flavor and more like a shoyu ramen really. However, the char siu was outstanding.

We would visit this fine establishment once a month; usually at lunch time. The restaurant is located in the strip mall, which parking is fairly easy to find. The price is reasonable and the usual variety of pho to choose from. The restaurant is family owned and service is quiet speedy. There are plenty of restaurants in the adjacent area, also a fun factory located approximately 100 feet away.

Great ramen restaurant. Large portions, served hot. Broth had a great taste and fried rice was good. The gyoza were good, stronger taste than other places but very good. Service was fast and friendly. Combos are more than one person can eat.

I've gotten meat and fish jun here, both good. I think the cucumber kimchi is outstanding although my Korean friend tells me the reason the cukes are so fresh and crisp is that they're not fermented for very long. Cabbage - not so great. Macaroni salad is tasty. It's all served in take-out containers whether you dine in or not.

The food was average. My chicken teriyaki and tempura bento combo was nothing special. Not sure if fish is fresh, as our hamachi sashimi seemed to have been frozen. After reading the reviews, we expected more. Didn't like the little box of ginger hidden under conveyor counter as wondered how many dirty little hands had handled the spoon, it was very sticky. We can get better food at our little Saito and Pho at the Waianae Mall.

Sushi quality is amazing! Fresh, melt in your mouth and very generous. Sushi/sashimi pieces are double the size one would typically expect. The rice for sushi is good, but not exceptional. Ordering a la carte ensure the most fresh preparation, but the conveyor belt items are very good. Not very large, so waiting is not unusual. Amazing value where $25 can satisfy substantial appetites. Good friendly service. Haven't experienced a better value and quality sushi meal.

Phone: 808-674-2262. Thai Lao is located in the Halekuai Center in the heart of Kapolei, Hawaii (Oahu).
Our family of six had dinner here earlier this week based on Trip Advisor reviews raving about it. We made a reservation but didnât actually need it. As you walk in the door you notice the delicious smells of Thai food and you also notice that the restaurant is arctic in temperature. The ladies in our group had brought light wraps but we needed fleece and long pants. So we ordered tea to warm us up and were surprised when they didnât have any tea but Lipton. But the staff are friendly and the service is excellent, the food came very quickly and was all superb. The Tom Kha Gai soup was incredible. I could have eaten just that but I had to share. The Evil Jungle curry is very hot, my husband who loves hot food really liked it but it definitely made him sweat. I had the pad see-uw which was wonderful. You can add any protein to any dish or they can do it vegetarian which the vegetarian in our group appreciated. Portions are large so you should share if youâre not really that hungry. Reasonable prices for Hawaii and great food with big portions. Huge amount of options on the menu! Just bring warm clothes!

In a very casual, rustic order-at-counter restaurant setting with limited seating, the Shack provided outstanding food from coconut shrimp to steak to kalbi shortribs. The entire family of 12, including adults and teenagers, all enjoyed the food. Super ambiance although very casual. Must visit!
