Went with my husband and friends on a Saturday evening, really busy, poppadoms and dips were lovely, so was all the food, large portions, especially veg, but then it'was more expensive then the indian restaurants around grays, which is where I live, the staff were efficent, my only gripe is no complimentary drinks at end of meal, all indian restaurants, around my area always offer a complimentary drink, but we did enquire in ithe rose of india, to be told, that, they were busy, so why would we give away free drinks, well a thank you to the customer would be nice, and a free drink, would just fit that bill maybe not recommend this place, or visit again, in the future, a free drink, makes all the difference

Zenxi brings together the very best of Oriental fine-dining to Chelmsford. The design of ZENXI has been meticulously thought of and planned, the layout of the restaurant being set over 2 floors and uses modern materials, soft lighting, Italian furniture a
It is always a pleasure to eat at Zenxi. The food is always delicious, especially the lemon chicken! We are always well looked after by Mark and the service is great! It never disappoints :) The food is always so fresh and you definitely wonât go home hungry! Canât wait for my next visit x

I have visited Yauâs on and off for years and got a takeaway on 2 July and it was terrible. Everything we ordered was bland and tasteless. The beef in black bean with chilli had no chilli taste. So bad I didnât finish eating it. Will not be returning.

Itâs never good when you spend £40 and think- âIt would have been better and cheaper making the curry myself!â Terrible service! Called to place an order and was told delivery was over an hour wait, however collection was just 30min. I drove to collect the food, arriving 35 minutes after ordering...I was then left waiting another 35 minutes until I finally received the food. Every time I asked how long till the food was ready I was just told âin a minuteâ. Very frustrating when I could see all the staff in the kitchen window standing around talking and doing nothing. Once I finally got my food, I wish I could say I enjoyed it, however the chicken was chewy, dry and fatty and the rice was cold and just tasted of onion, which is disappointing when i ordered it to be coconut. I do NOT recommend.

Went for a birthday lunch for my brother today and we all enjoyed the food. There were not that many people there today it being a Sunday I guess, the service was fast and efficient and the waiter was friendly and helpful.Would not hesitate to go back if we are around in Chelmsford again.

I wouldnât wish this restaurant on my worst enemy! The staff were rude and had a bad attitude, rolling of eyes telling us there was a minimum spend even though for 7pm on a Saturday evening the restaurant was empty. The food was expensive, small portion sizes of not good quality food.I canât understand how they have such good reviews unless they have paid for them or got the staff to write them?Honestly the worst restaurant EVER!Dear Guest,Our apologies you did not have a great time and weâd love for you to send us an email with the events that occurred so we can follow up and train up where needed, to better the experience. For all groups over 8 there is always a minimum spend, our plates are very generous in comparison to other high end establishments, we are a BYO alcohol venue, we have to be able to impose some restrictions which is always explained before confirming the booking. We do not force our guests to write any reviews just to enjoy our venue, perhaps the casual dining lounge would be a better [email protected]

We live in Gidea Park and often meet friends for dinner in London (where we all work), but for a change, we thought we'd meet locally. Our friends came in from Billericay, three stops on the train to Shenfield from us - absolutely perfect! After a quick drink next door, we walked into Empire. A lovely welcome, relaxed before being jumped on for quick service, enjoyed our poppadoms and a drink and then we ordered! My girlfriend and I ordered chicken tickka and salmon tikka starters for our main cours, but with loads of veggie dishes; sag paneer, onion bhajee, sag aloo, cauliflower bhajee, coconut rice (which wasn't on the menu, but they accommodated us) - all were absolutely delicious with plenty to go around, which our husbands were delighted about. The men ordered chicken shaslick and chicken tikka massala with breads - lovely and fresh and, suffice it to say, not a morsel remaining on our plates! Good house wine (we didn't think we'd drink a whole bottle - how silly of us!), and to finish off, a complimentary drink for us all. Great service, super staff, scrumptious food ................... no more getting the last train home from Liverpool Street for us - Shenfield was ideal and very much looking forward to our next visit - thank you very much.

Boom!! We opened Giggling Squid with a big bang in Billericay. It was such a great surprise to have so many happy customers wanting a Thai restaurant like ours right from day one and itâs still going strong. We must have done something right. The locals a
thought would give this restaurant a go. Food looked fab but not v authentic tasting and rather expensive for a Thai meal to be honest. service was ok but could be better as well all in all ok but not great,Our apologies we did not wow on this occasion. We hope you will give us another opportunity in the future. Giggling Squid

Jehan Curry Hut in Brentwood is serving up the finest Indian and Nepalese cuisine you could think of, all in a fun yet sophisticated atmosphere. If youâre looking for a new spot to eat next curry night, then head on down to South Street in the town centre
Our food here was excellent and made freshly but quickly. It was a Wednesday night and so pretty empty but there was little atmosphere which is a shame but can be worked on as the food is worth 5/5. Thanks for the awesome review, Nicki! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and weâre happy to hear that you enjoyed your meal, Wednesday is middle of the week therefore it's not that busy night for us but please visit us on weekends we hope you will see the beautiful atmosphere at jehan curry hut. Looking forward to see you soon. Management.

I always get a Takeaway from Nirvana as it is my local Indian restaurant. Itâs relatively well priced, slightly expensive but Iâm willing to pay the extra as the quality is normally great. Occasionally, the food can be a bit hit and miss but the majority of the time I havenât been disappointed. Inside the restaurant there is a lot of space and staff seem to be friendly. Iâd recommend the balti dishes.
