We bought takeaways - but will defintely try a sit down on our next visit to Hout Bay. The Sushi was good. The beef with rice noodle was delicious and generous portion so 2 people could have this.
Food was all freshly prepared so a short wait but well worth it. Well presented and very tasty, service very good.

This was our second visit and we were as impressed as on our first visit. We were given a delicious complimentary bowl of spicy seafood bisque on arrival (very welcome on an icy Cape Town day). We then shared a plate of perfectly cooked prawns, served with the most delicious soya sauce-based sauce and fabulous egg-fried rice. The staff were attentive and efficient (and I loved the teapot they brought my tea in).

The MAnager from the first day was so friendly & funny. He went out of his way to make sure I tried most of the sushi. I was impressed with the QUALITY! For only R109 and eat as much as I want, and still get blown away! my partner also fell inlove with the spot!!! Duck wrap blew my mind away and the roses are on point!!!!

Nothing was going on there when I walked in but we were welcomed immediately. They don't have a wide range of beverages to choose from and after hearing they have 1 ice tea left (the one on display) I chose to just have water. The menu is unique and funky. I had the crispy duck bao which was fantastic. For main I had short rib ramen, this was great, however the meat was fatty and my friend's meat had so much sinew that she could not eat it - we did make them aware of this but enjoyed it nontheless. For dessert we had deep fried bao bun with green tea ice cream, condensed milk and sesame brittle. This was amazing, however I didn't get sesame brittle. And when asking the guy where it is he was unsure of what I meant. It is very quiet there and a very funky vibe. I would visit again.

Authentic Thai food prepared by Thai Chefs
We have a home in Hout Bay so visit 5 months a year, the difference between last weeks dining in and tonightâs delivery were incredible. This was great Thai food with a depth of flavour (rather than a stir fry with an abundance of onion and mushroom) that is the essence of Thai food - compliments to the chef!

This is the 3 time in a row that I did takeaway. The food is great when eventually it comes. I get untruthful answers when it comes to "when will it be ready ". They don't seem to care. It's take it or leave it. Such a pity.

The biryani we had was not up to satisfaction, average as well as the curry. The restaurant and their foods donât Iook inviting to me this visit.personally think they use to do much better. Since thereâs a few more Indian restaurants keep coming up in and around Hout Bay, this restaurant themself need to do better to stand out amongst the others or at least keep us coming back.

Incredible Contemporary Asian Cuisine, Cocktails and an impressive selection of wines.
Our family of four visited Cheyne's for a Sunday afternoon lunch. The service was good, and the food and presentation was excellent. The portion sizes (Typical tapas style menu with pacific rim dishes) was rather small and expensive. For the money we paid, we still felt that we need to go to have fish and chips at the Warf
